Abstract:

A hose and clamp assembly comprises a hose, a band-type clamp encircling the hose, and an elastomeric envelope bonded to the hose and attaching the clamp to the hose along a section of the clamp band. The elastomeric envelope is provided with at least one discontinuity to define a removable center section whereby the removable center section can be separated along the at least one discontinuity to form an open channel in the envelope and enable removal of the clamp. The at least one discontinuity can comprise a groove or a plurality of perforations. The at least one discontinuity can comprise parallel grooves aligned with the edges of the clamp band to define the removable center section. A channel is formed in the envelope by the removal of the removable center section and the clamp to provide a receptacle for proper positioning of the replacement clamp on the hose.

Abstract:

A pallet sheet has a substantially planar, centrally located base region, and a pair of upwardly angled edge portions. The upper surface portion of the pallet sheet is provided with a plurality of upwardly oriented collapsible cleats for enhancing cushioning and frictional characteristics, and in addition, upwardly and downwardly oriented cleats are also disposed upon the upper and lower surface portions of the upwardly angled edge portions so as to provide enhanced gripping characteristics for the pallet sheet by a gripper bar mechanism of a motorized transport vehicle. Still further, a support system is provided for supporting a plurality of pallet sheets thereon wherein the oppositely disposed edge portions of the pallet sheets can be maintained at their desired predetermined angle.

Abstract:

A combination playyard and canopy assembly is provided. The playyard includes a top frame having first and second side rails and first and second end rails that define an opening. The canopy includes a mounting clip, frame members, and a cover. The frame members are pivotably coupled to the mounting clip for movement about a common pivot axis and the cover is attached to the frame members. The frame members are pivotable relative to the mounting clip between a first position in which the cover extends over the opening and a second position in which the cover is moved away from the opening to allow access to the interior region of the playyard. The mounting clip includes deformable members snapped onto the top frame to mount the canopy to the top frame. The bottom perimetral edge of the cover is attached to the top frame so that the cover encompasses the entire top frame when the frame members are in the first position.
