Description:
Honesty, competence, and reliability – these are what I consider to be the most important qualities in a real estate broker. When I bought my first house, I wanted someone who knew what they were doing, who could explain it to me in terms I could understand and listen to what I wanted, and who would answer the phone when I called. Years later, I have never forgotten what it was like to be a first-time buyer. It hasn't changed as much as you might think. It's exciting, stressful, and maybe a little scary – but an experienced broker can make the ride a lot easier for you.If you are selling, you can rely on me rely on me to give you honest advice about the value of your home and what it will take to bring you a buyer. No wild promises, like offering to buy the home for you, just straight talk about what your local market is doing, and how to make your property as competitive as possible to get you the best price within your time frame.Investors – yes, I'm one of you too. The current real estate market may be the best opportunity in decades. The properties are a bargain and so is the money it takes to buy them. With all of the bank-owned property available, there's something out there for everyone, from the first-timer to the seasoned investor. As part of my regular work, I walk through about 200 properties a month in the greater Seattle area. Chances are I've seen what you want recently. A major part of my business in the last decade has been distressed property (even before that became a major part of the market). As an REO broker I am constantly in the middle of the foreclosure market, potentially the greatest buying opportunity in our lifetime. As a non-distressed seller's broker, I can tell you how best to compete with these properties so you can still get your home sold in the current market.

Automatic Firing Apparatus And Methods For Laser Skin Treatment Over Large Areas
Laser skin treatment apparatus includes a handpiece for delivering laser-radiation pulses from a laser to an area of skin being treated. The area being treated is larger than an area treatable in a single firing of the laser. The larger area is treated by treating adjoining sub-areas within the larger area by repeated firings of the laser. The laser is fired automatically depending on the position of the handpiece in the larger area. Several arrangements for determining the position of the handpiece are disclosed. These include optical detection by the handpiece of indicia drawn on the skin being treated; optical, magnetic, or mechanical detection of indicia on a separate guide for the handpiece or on a roller attached to the handpiece; and detection by determining time of travel of signals from a transponder in the handpiece to a fixed reference plane.

Abstract:
A dermatological treatment apparatus is disclosed that is cordless and sufficiently compact as to be hand-held. A self-contained housing is configured for gripping by a person's hand for cordless manipulation in a dermatologic treatment procedure. A light source and electrical circuit are contained within the housing. The circuit includes one or more batteries and an electronic control circuit for energizing the light source to produce output light pulses. A light path is within the housing including an aperture through which the output light pulses are propagated out of the housing having properties sufficient for providing efficacious treatment.

A light source and electrical circuit are contained within the housing. The circuit includes one or more batteries for energizing the light source to produce output light pulses. A light path within the housing includes an aperture through which eye-safe light pulses are propagated out of the housing having properties sufficient for at least temporary hair-regrowth inhibition. A diffuser is disposed along the light path to reduce the integrated radiance to an eye-safe level.

Abstract:
A sensor for detecting the presence of skin is disclosed, one configuration of which uses multiple light emitting diodes, each of a unique wavelength band, and a broad-band photodetector to measure the remission of light at multiple wavelengths from a material being analyzed. Characteristics of the spectral remission of the material are used to discriminate human skin from materials that are not human skin. Further, an aesthetic medical device utilizing such a sensor in which the device is inhibited from operation if skin has not been detected. The incorporation of a skin sensor improves the safety of devices that emit radiation that otherwise would pose a hazard if not directed onto skin.

Method And Apparatus For The Treatment Of Benign Pigmented Lesions

Tria Beauty, Inc. - Dublin CA
International Classification:

US Classification:
606 27, 607 96
Abstract:
Disclosed is an apparatus and method which employs an energy source, one or more switches, electronic control circuitry, and a surface that can be placed in contact with a region of a person's skin containing a benign pigmented lesion. Within the apparatus, electrical current is passed through a heating element that is thermally coupled to the surface so that this surface is heated rapidly and then is subsequently cooled rapidly. By judicious choice of the rate of heating, maximum temperatures achieved, and rate of cooling, thermal injury to the skin can be confined primarily to the epidermal region of the skin in contact with the surface.
Compression Mount For Semiconductor Devices, And Method
A mount for semiconductor laser devices comprises thermally conductive anode and cathode blocks on either side of a semiconductor laser device such as a laser diode. Interposed between at least the anode block and the anode of the semiconductor laser device is a sheet of conformable material with high thermal conductivity such as pyrolytic highly-oriented graphite. In some embodiments, a second sheet of such thermally conductive conformable material is interposed between the cathode of the semiconductor laser device and the cathode block. The semiconductor laser device can be either a single laser diode or a diode bar having a plurality of emitters. A thermally conductive, but electrically insulating, spacer of essentially the same thickness as the laser diode or bar surrounds the diode or bar to prevent mechanical damage while still permitting the conformable material to be maintained in a compressed state.
