Abstract:

A portable cooler stacking system is provided, where portable coolers of different shapes and sizes can be optimally and stably stacked. The cooler system can include a first cooler having a first size and a second cooler having a second size, where the first and second sizes are different. A pair of second coolers can be stacked on the first cooler, where the second coolers are positioned widthwise along the length of the lid of the first cooler. In this manner, an inner length of the top surface of the lid of the first cooler is slightly greater then the width of a lower portion the second coolers and the inner width of the top surface of the lid of the first cooler is greater then two times the width of the lower portion of the second coolers. As such, two second cooler can be positioned widthwise along the length of the lid of the first cooler. The adjacent position of the second coolers and the interlocking surfaces substantially limit the horizontal movement of the pair of second coolers on the lid of the first cooler.

Abstract:

Methods for forming holes of predetermined size in polyimide substrates having metallic layers adhesively attached thereto include selectively removing areas of desired size and shape from the metallic layer; contacting the exposed adhesive layer with a selective etchant therefor that does not affect the polyimide substrate or undercut the adhesive near the opening formed; and selectively etching the polyimide substrate exposed in the openings by removal of the adhesive layer overlying the polyimides. These methods permit rapid, efficient formation of holes having a diameter as small as one mil (0. 00254 cm).

Abstract:

A device for use by a smoker in developing a subconscious aversion to smoking. The device includes a special pressure transducer that is coupled to a holder for a smoking article such as a cigarette, for sensing whenever smoke is drawn from the cigarette and for producing a corresponding electrical control signal. The device further includes a transformer for converting the control signal to an electrical shock signal having a substantially higher voltage level, a potentiometer for permitting a manual adjustment of the voltage of the shock signal to a prescribed level, and a pair of electrodes for coupling the shock signal to the skin of the smoker, whereby every time smoke is drawn from the cigarette, a small, but annoying, electrical shock is received by the smoker.

Abstract:

The radio transmitter in a miniaturized transceiver concealed on a person to be located, such as a lost child, is activated and transmits a coded UHF radio homing signal upon receipt of an initiating signal containing the child's address code. The initiating signal is automatically transmitted by a repeater station in response to an audible "panic signal" containing the address code and contains the identical address code. The panic signal is a pulse tone produced by a hand held tone generator activated by the child's parent and is transmitted to the repeater station by telephone. Tracking vehicles are provided with automatic UHF radio direction finding and distance measuring equipment for locating the source of the homing signal. Stored information concerning the child can be transmitted to the tracking vehicles.
