I participate and compete in both adventure races and road races. The adventure races include the Tough Mudder and Spartan Race. They are intense obstacle courses in distances ranging from 3 miles to 12 miles. The obstacles test the mental and physical strength in each participant. The Tough Mudder is great because it promotes camaraderie and encourages everyone to help their fellow tough mudder finish the course. The road races I compete in range from 5k to marathons. It takes a lot of dedication as well as mental and physical drive to run a marathon. It has been the most difficult thing I have ever done. I enjoy the teamwork and adrenaline boost that comes from these races and the great feeling of accomplishment when I cross the finish line.
