Abstract:

The invention concerns a method for applying a surface modification agent composition for organosilicate glass dielectric films. More particularly, the invention pertains to a method for treating a silicate or organosilicate dielectric film on a substrate, which film either comprises silanol moieties or has had at least some previously present carbon containing moieties removed therefrom. The treatment adds carbon containing moieties to the film and/or seals surface pores of the film, when the film is porous.

A toughening agent composition for increasing the hydrophobicity of an organosilicate glass dielectric film when applied to said film. Abstract:

A method for forming a substantially transparent nanoporous organosilicate film on a substantially transparent substrate, for use in optical lighting devices such as organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). The method includes first preparing a composition comprising a silicon containing pre-polymer, a porogen, and a catalyst. The composition is coated onto a substrate which is substantially transparent to visible light, forming a film thereon. The film is then gelled by crosslinking and cured by heating, such that the resulting cured film is substantially transparent to visible light. It is preferred that both the substrate and the nanoporous film are at least 98% transparent to visible light. Optical devices which include the resulting structures of this invention exhibit improved light extraction and illuminance where the nanoporous organosilicate film has a low refractive index in the range of 1.05 to 1.4, serving as an impedance matching layer in such devices.

Abstract:

In accordance with the present invention, cookies are counted and grouped and are guided and ride along support rails of a drop gate. The support rails are moved to one side during a dwell in the travel of a transfer conveyor, in a manner such that a group of cookies from one row and another group of cookies from another row drop through drop chutes of a drop chute assembly into an accumulator at the lower portion of the drop chute assembly, in longitudinal alignment along the centerline of the machine. There are actually two such drop chute assemblies, and the remaining group of cookies from each of the two rows drop in the same manner into the accumulator at the lower portion of the second drop chute assembly. After the groups of cookies have dropped into the accumulators of the drop chute assemblies, the accumulators operate respectively to longitudinally advance the one group of cookies into substantially abutting longitudinal relationship with the other group of cookies. Accordingly, at this time, there is effectively one group of cookies in each of the respective accumulators, consisting of a combined group of cookies which may be, for example, a combined group of chocolate and vanilla flavor or colored cookies.

Abstract:

An automatic tray loading apparatus for cookies or the like in which cook are divided into two rows with cookies in each row separated into groups of a given count and continuously conveyed to a loading station for loading into trays. A pair of drop chute members are aligned with the rows of cookies and each arranged to receive a discrete cookie group dropped therein by a drop gate device. The cookie group dropped into one of the drop chutes is moved laterally into close proximity to a second cookie group resting in the second drop chute to bring the cookie spacing into register with the spacing of cookie receiving compartments in the trays. Drop gate slides for each drop chute are then activated to open chute outlet openings to drop each cookie group into an appropriate compartment of a waiting cookie tray. A tray conveyor then carries away the cookie-filled tray and spots an empty tray below the drop chute outlet openings.
