    A pressurized fluid system provides electrical power to a load and includes a fluid motor, a generator, an energy storage device and a controller. The system supplies fluid to the fluid motor, which provides a generator with power producing a voltage used to supply power to a load and provide energy to the energy storage device. The controller selects which of various sources within the system provides fluid to the fluid motor based on the operating mode of the system. When fluid supplied to the fluid motor is discontinued, the energy storage device discharges providing power to the load.

    A high power factor converter system comprises an input rectifier, a converter and a booster circuit. The input rectifier is configured for rectifying an input ac voltage. The converter is configured for generating an output voltage for the high power factor converter system. The converter comprises several converter switches and inverse parallel diodes. The booster circuit comprises an inductor and at least one converter switch and an inverse parallel diode of the converter. The inductor is coupled between the input rectifier and the converter. The booster circuit is configured for controlling the supply of a booster current through the inductor to be discontinuous when the instantaneous voltage level is less than a predetermined fraction of a dc voltage level across the converter and continuous when the instantaneous voltage level is greater than the predetermined fraction of the dc voltage level.

    A high current inductor is constructed using two single-sided or double-sided printed circuit boards having patterned copper traces thereon, a magnetic toroidal core, and multiple interconnecting wires extending between the boards. Multiple turns for the inductor are created by suitably configuring the copper traces on the printed circuit boards. Vias are employed on each circuit board for electrically interconnecting the boards to each other. Multiple thick, solid-gauge wires are situated in the vias in order to provide a very large copper area, thus providing high current carrying capability.

    A low-ripple power supply includes a storage capacitor coupled across load terminals, and an inductor connected to a source of voltage including a varying or pulsatory component and a direct component, for causing a flow of current to said capacitor through the inductor. The varying component of the inductor current flowing in the capacitor results in ripple across the load. A winding is coupled to the inductor for generating a surrogate of the varying inductor current. The surrogate current is added to the inductor current to cancel or reduce the magnitude of the varying current component. This cancellation effectively reduces the varying current component flowing in the storage capacitor, which in turn reduces the ripple appearing across the load terminals. ( ).

    A low noise, multiple output power supply circuit featuring a plurality of efficient linear regulators comprises a transformer having a primary circuit with a primary transformer input winding and a plurality of secondary circuits.
