Abstract:

There is provided a system for forming compartments in a carrying case or attache case to stow various items, such as a laptop or notebook computer. The system comprises a plurality of support bars disposed along the inner walls of the carrying case and a plurality of partition bars coupled to the frame. Each support bar has a pair of substantially parallel rails disposed at its upper side and a longitudinal surface disposed at its lateral side. The parallel rails form an equidistant channel therebetween. Each partition bar that has an end portion for coupling to a respective support bar. The end portion has an appendage that is disposed in the channel of the support bar and a planar end surface that is positioned adjacent to the longitudinal surface of the support bar. Accordingly, each elongated partition bar subdivides the housing and forms a compartment on either side of the partition bar.

Abstract:

A fluid pump is provided which comprises a valveless pump chamber, a tube for conveying fluid, a conduit connecting the pump chamber and tube in fluid pressure communication, and at least one valve connected to the tube and adapted to permit a flow of fluid therethrough substantially in a single direction. Preferably at least the tube is removable and replaceable from the pump chamber. Preferably also, the tube is substantially rigid and includes a second valve at an opposite side of the conduit from the first valve.

A universal interface system for use with a data acquisition system including a data acquisition device such as a bar code scanner or scanner integrated terminal for providing digital data signals indicative of acquired data for transmission to a host device such as a computer, and a host device having host-specific input/output data format requirements. The universal interface system comprises universal data exchange means located in the data acquisition device for providing digital data signals in a universal data exchange format independent of the data format requirements of the host device; and a host interface cable coupled to the data acquisition device and to said host device, for transmitting acquired digital data from the data acquisition device to the host device, the interface cable comprising means for translating digital data from the universal data exchange format to the host-specific input/output data format requirements. Abstract:

An SSR reply decoding system for separating pulse codes of a series of closely-spaced or overlapping SSR replies is disclosed. A delay line is connected to receive pulses representing the leading edge of each SSR reply code pulse. The delay line has a length corresponding to at least two bracket lengths of an SSR reply. A bracket decoder is connected to respective taps of the delay line for determining the beginning and end of a first SSR reply. A phantom reply detector is connected to the remaining taps for inhibiting the bracket decoder when two replies are represented by pulses in the delay lines, one of the replies having a pulse space from the pulse of another reply equal to a framing pulse period for an SSR reply. The phantom reply detector therefore inhibits the detection of phantom replies. As a discriminate for determining when pulses having the spacing of a framing period belong to different replies, azimuth data is provided which will permit discrimination of these phantom conditions.

The present invention is directed to improvements in the art of drawer suspensions, and particularly relates to an improved front release drawer suspension of the type employed for slidably supporting a drawer within a cabinet while permitting the drawer to be bodily removed when the same reaches an outwardmost limiting position relative to the cabinet. The drawer slide assembly includes a release member carried by the drawer, the release member being accessible from the front of the unit at the outermost limiting position of the drawer to facilitate removal of the drawer. The release assembly is characterized by means which positively deflect the forward motion limiting components into engagement as the slide components reach the outermost limiting position and preferably, in addition, permit reinsertion of the drawer without manual activation of the latching mechanism.
