I have devoted much of my time away from work to various civic initiatives, providing both funding and leadership to regional and national organizations alike. I was a founding board member that helped establish a local hospice. I was a founding board member of the Jensen-Olsen Arboretum. I have been active as a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Archbishop Seghers Council No. 1760. I was noted for my work with the American Primrose Society, were I spent four years as national Editor of the group’s quarterly journal, Primroses. I had a chapter, "Auriculas" published in the book Southeast Alaska Gardening. In my free time, I enjoy tying flies, both fresh and salt water, fly-fishing, astronomy, and gardening.

Honor & Awards:

1992- Inducted into the John Nuveen and Company Advisory Council for my knowledge and expertise in the area of tax exempt securities. Knights of Columbus: Grand Knight of the Year 2011 and Star Council designation 2012. I am a fourth Degree Knight and Past Grand Knight.
