Abstract:

The subject invention is a process for preserving metallic products from deterioration from corrosion or oxidation, comprising the application of a protective product including the following the steps of applying, (a) cleaning the exterior of the metallic product of removing scaling or other externally disposed by products of corrosion; (b) applying a corrosive removal substance comprised of water, ammonium components, alcohol and a solvent premix which is in turn comprised of alcohol and mineral spirits. The subject process may include the further process of painting the surface of the metallic surface after the above described anti-corrosive substance is applied and in some cases removed.

Abstract:

The subject invention is a process for applying adhesive product for adhering roof covering sheets to the upper surface of a building, such process comprising applies in the following products in various combination ratios: (a) synthetic rubber and resin; (b) toluene; (c) cyclohexane; (d) dearomatised petrol; With such product being applied by utilizing a spraying device to apply such product in an even layered film and then adhering to the bottom surfaces of a roofing sheet over such applied film. This positioning of the rubber roof sheets is preferably consummated immediately after the application of the adhesive product. Additionally certain other compounds may be added to the above product to minimize the viscosity of the product and render the product more compatible with the environment.

The invention herein is directed to an improved apparatus used for facilitating the process of affixing rectangularly shaped sheets of rubber roofing material to the upper surface of a roof, in which process a plurality of bonding plates are used to bond the rubber roof sheets to the upper roof surface. Abstract:

The subject process is directed to a method of attaching rectangularly shaped sheets of rubber roofing material to the upper surface of a roof and comprises affixing a plurality of rubber roof sheets, in a regular pattern, over the upper surface of a roof structure, and affixing over the rubber roof sheets in a grid-like matrix, plates on portions of the perimeter of the rubber roof sheets, fastening adjacent the perimeter edges of such sheets, in a matrix-like manner. In such matrix pattern, plates are spaced from one another in an even manner. The subsequent steps involve affixing the holding plates to seal the plates against the rubber roof sheaths.

Abstract:

The invention herein is a roofing fastener with integrated swivel means on the upper part to facilitate the process of affixing rectangularly shaped sheets of rubber roofing material to the upper surface of a roof. Specifically, the invention is a longitudinally disposed fastening member in the general form of a screw or nail-like member which is adapted to be inserted through the upper surface of the rubber roofing sheets and thence through the upper surface of the roof structure, serving thereby to anchor the rubber roofing sheets to the fixed roof structure. The fastening device may optionally have a longitudinally extending centrally located chamber which is co-axially aligned with the longitudinal central axis of the fastening member, and this chamber has a plurality of laterally disposed openings which extend from the chamber to the outer surface of the fastening member, said chamber being adapted to receive a liquid sealant at an opening in the upper surface and disperse same through such lateral openings. On the upper portion of the longitudinally disposed fastening member is a circular cap member which is eccentrically disposed about a semispherical configuration on the lower part of the head member, so that the cap member can swivel about such head.
