Abstract:
The invention is an improved fuel cell sealing system comprising a proton exchange membrane sandwiched between an anode plate and a cathode plate. A gasket is provided to seal the proton exchange membrane with the anode and cathode plates. The gasket and proton exchange membrane are formed as a unitary assembly by directly molding the gasket to the proton exchange membrane, which provides structural support for the PEM and increases the ease of handling and permitting the automated assembly of multiple fuel cells.

Abstract:
A hose for delivery of pre-conditioned air between a ground-based heating-ventilating unit and an internal ventilation system of an aircraft comprising at least two hose segments. The hose segments can have an end provided with a fastener interconnectable with a fastener on an end of an adjacent hose segment. Each hose segment can also have an exterior layer formed of a single piece of flexible material wherein opposing longitudinal sides of the piece of material are joined at a single longitudinal seam. Further, at least one protective flap can be located adjacent the fastener on one hose segment and adapted to cover the adjacent fastener and an interconnected fastener when the at least two hose segments are connected to each other.

Abstract:
A unitary coining die assembly is provided which is mountable on the frame of an underdriven coining press independent of the press slide. The die assembly is positioned on the frame above the slide and is comprised of a mounting plate attached to the frame and a pair of support plates suspended therebeneath. An upper coining die is carried by the mounting plate, and a vertically displaceable lower coining die is carried by the lower support plate. A ring providing a die cavity cooperable with the coining dies is carried by the upper support plate. The support arrangement provides for the lower coining die to be pivotal laterally about an axis spaced from the die axis to facilitate access to the component parts. Further, the portion of the upper support plate is pivotal about the same axis to provide access to the die cavity ring and upper coining die. The press slide engages a die pad associated with the lower coining die and displaces the coining die upwardly into cooperable relationship with the upper coining die to shape a coin blank positioned therebetween.
