Abstract:

The securement components include a rail vise ( ), a C-channel clamp ( ), a leaf spring shackle ( ), L-clamps ( ), a slide plate ( ), a hole adapter ( ), a tie-down ratchet assembly ( ), and a turnbuckle assist ( ). The rail vise has two guide channels ( ) which slidably receive guide pins ( ) therein. The guide pins ( ) extend from a front movable clamp leg ( ). The leaf spring shackle ( ) includes an L-shaped base plate ( ) and a clamp member ( ), which cooperate to clamp a mounting bracket ( ) of a leaf spring ( ) therebetween.

The rail vise has two guide channels () which slidably receive guide pins () therein. The guide pins () extend from a front movable clamp leg (). The leaf spring shackle () includes an L-shaped base plate () and a clamp member (), which cooperate to clamp a mounting bracket (158) of a leaf spring (176) therebetween. The hold adapter () includes a reference hole insert () sized and configured to fit in a reference hole () of the vehicle frame () with slip clearance. The hole adapter () also includes an adapter ring () for larger reference holes (). The tie-down ratchet assembly () includes a tie-down strap () and a ratchet mechanism () which is operative to incrementally tension the strap ().
