Archery Bowstring Peep Sight Useful In Low Light Conditions
A peep sight which enables viewing above and below an intended target includes a body which develops a frame for defining a shaped aperture and a peripheral groove for receiving a bowstring, for mounting the peep sight to the bowstring. The shaped aperture forms a single, vertically elongated sight window which provides a large sight picture to facilitate viewing of the target, especially in low light situations, and which is free of internal structures. In use, the peep sight allows an archer to immediately focus on the sighting pins of the bow, and then on the target, without obstruction.

Abstract:
Electrical connector receptacle comprises an insulating housing having a plug-receiving end, a rearward end, and a plug-receiving opening extending into the plug-receiving end. A plurality of electrical conductors are provided in and on the housing, each conductor having contact spring portions at one end, an intermediate portion, and a second end portion. The contact spring portion extends from an internal sidewall at the mating end diagonally into the plug-receiving opening. The intermediate portion of each conductor extends from the mating end across an external sidewall, across the rearward end and beyond the other external sidewall. The connector is intended for mounting on a circuit board having holes which receive the other ends of the conductors so that the sidewalls from which the contact springs extend is remote from the circuit board.

Abstract:
Modular jack-type connector receptacle comprises an insulating housing having a rearward end and having a ledge extending beyond the rearward end from one of the housing sidewalls. The conductors are stamped and formed members which extend through channels in the external sidewall and through openings and into the plug-receiving opening of the housing. A plurality of side-by-side stalls are provided on the ledge and the conductors extend into these stalls, each conductor having a slotted plate-type wire-receiving means on its end locating within one of the stalls. Wires can be connected to the stamped and formed conductors by supporting the underside of the ledge on a suitable anvil and inserting the wires into the wire-receiving portions.

Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a connector receptacle of the telephone jack type is disclosed. The jack housing is produced as a one-piece molding having conductor-receiving channels extending across one of its external sidewalls from the plug-receiving end to the rearward end. The conductors are manufactured by stamping a flat strip to produce groups of spaced-apart conductors extending laterally of the length of the strip. To assemble the conductors to the housing, a group of conductors is positioned in alignment with the channels and the conductors are inserted into the channels. First end portions of the conductors are reversely bent so that they extend diagonally into the plug-receiving opening of the housing and second end portions may be bent laterally and offset from each other so that the second ends can be inserted into staggered holes on a circuit board.

Abstract:
There is disclosed, a kit of parts for assembly to provide a wire-to-wire shielded electrical connector (2) comprising an insulating housing (4) having a forward portion (12) defining a socket (50) for receiving a shielded electrical plug (170), and a rear portion (10) defining a row of passageways (18) for receiving respective wires (W) of a shielded electrical cable (C). Electrical terminals (6) have insulation displacement portions (84) which, in the assembled connector (2), are received in first slots (16) in the rear housing portion (10), and retention portions (86) which are received in second slots (66) in the forward housing portion (12), with contact springs (90) projecting from the retention portions (86) into the socket (50) for engagement by contacts (174) of the plug (170). The insulation displacement portions (84) of the terminals (6) can be driven home into the first slots (16) to engage the metal cores of the wires (W) when the wires (W) are received in the passageways (18). The terminals comprise flexible joggles (88) in order to ensure that the retention portions (86) are not disturbed as the insulation displacement portions (84) are driven home into the first slots (16).

Abstract:
Sub-assembly for a modular jack comprises an insulating support, which is dimensioned to be assembled to a jack housing having a group of stamped and formed conductors mounted on the support. The conductors have plate-like wire-receiving portions which are provided with wire-receiving slots so that wires can be connected to the conductors by movement of the wires into the slots. The sub-assemblies are produced as a continuous composite strip comprising a continuous strip of conductors with support members assembled to the groups of conductors of the metallic strip.

Abstract:
Electrical connector receptacle of the type used in the telecommunications industry comprises a one-piece molded housing having a plug-receiving end and a plug-receiving opening extending into the plug-receiving end. A plurality of side-by-side conductors mounted in the housing have contact spring portions which extend from an internal sidewall of the plug-receiving opening adjacent to the plug-receiving end. These conductors extend over an external sidewall to the rearward end of the housing and across the rearward end past the other external sidewall, the ends of the conductors being intended to be inserted into holes in a circuit board and soldered to circuit board conductors. The housing has a frame portion which extends completely around the plug-receiving opening and has means at the rearward end for preventing insertion of a human finger into the plug-receiving end in a manner which could cause injury. A backwall is provided at the rearward end which prevents possible short circuiting of the conductors in the housing.
