Abstract:

An apparatus () loads partially-formed open-ended cartons () onto respective mandrels () of a turret () that indexes cartons through work stations. A conveyor () propels the partially formed cartons () along a load path () and loads them onto respective mandrels (). A loader guide guides the partially formed cartons () along the load path () and maintains them in axial alignment with the respective mandrels (). A loading pusher () carried by the conveyor () engages successive partially formed cartons and propels them along the loader guide and onto the mandrels (). A controller () commands a loading servo motor () to advance the conveyor () and transport each partially formed carton () along the load path () and into a delivered position on one of the mandrels () and then to reverse the conveyor () momentarily before the turret () indexes. The advancing, withdrawing, and indexing steps are repeated for second and subsequent partially formed cartons () and mandrels ().

Abstract:

The game uses a standard 52 card deck, and is played by a minimum of an action player, a banker and a dealer. The dealer, deals the playing pieces, but does not act as the banker. The action player and banker place their wagers before the cards are dealt. The dealer deals 4 cards, each to the player and to the banker. The player, but not the banker, looks at his cards and arranges them in a front hand and a back hand and in any order desired. The front hand is to be played first. The banker's cards are turned over and placed in respective front and back hands. The two front hands are compared to show a win, lose or draw, using the rules of the game of Blackjack. If the action player wins, the banker satisfies the extent of the action player's wager, and that round of play terminates, and the remaining players lose their right to play in that round. Otherwise, play proceeds to the next player. If the action player loses, the amount of his wager is given to the banker.

Abstract:

A surface heater and dryer includes a housing having a skirt for concentrating heat over a large area of the surface and contains a heater and blower for forcing super heated air onto the surface. Mounting structure is connected to the housing for supporting the heater and dryer on a suitable vehicle and adjustments are provided to adjust the position of the heater and dryer to compensate for weight changes and surface variations. Controls are also provided to regulate the temperature and amount of air discharged from the skirt for use of the heater and dryer for diverse purposes requiring different temperatures, and a hot air recirculator and fuel vaporizer are provided with vanes arranged to control the same to further regulate the heat output of the heater and dryer. Also provided is an arrangement of multiple heater and dryer units and accompanying controls for effecting treatment of a correspondingly large surface area.

A grain dryer for drying grain crops as they are harvested, comprising a combine having a grain storage bin and a grain dryer supported on the bin and having an air discharge portion extending into the bin and an air intake portion external of the bin, heater elements in the dryer for heating the air discharged therefrom and control elements connected with the dryer to control the flow of air therethrough and the temperature to which the air is heated.
