Abstract:
A shoe for a band saw includes a block for coupling to the band saw, the block having an aperture, a locking ball disposed in the aperture, a body including a first surface for engaging a workpiece and an opposite surface having plurality of recesses, and a locking rod coupled to the block and movable between a first position and a second position. The locking ball is received in one of the plurality of recesses of the body when the locking rod is in the first position such that the body is fixed relative to the block, and the body is movable relative to the block when the locking rod is in the second position.

Abstract:
A hand-held band saw has a handle for grasping the band saw, a motor, a drive wheel driven by the motor, a driven wheel and a continuous blade disposed about the drive wheel and the driven wheel. A portion of the continuous blade is positioned in a cut zone to perform a cutting operation. A workpiece guard is spaced from the continuous blade and positioned generally between the cut zone and the handle for limiting movement of the workpiece after the cutting operation.

Abstract:
A reciprocating saw includes a housing, a motor, and a drive mechanism. The drive mechanism includes a driven gear that is rotated by the motor. The driven gear is vertically-oriented within the housing. The drive mechanism also includes a drive arm coupled to the driven gear to translate rotary motion of the driven gear into reciprocating motion, and an output shaft coupled to the drive arm to reciprocate relative to the housing along a spindle axis through a cutting stroke and a return stroke. The drive mechanism further includes a counterweight coupled to the driven gear and rotating with the driven gear through a path and in a same direction. As the counterweight moves through a rearward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in an upward direction, and as the counterweight moves through a forward half of the path, the counterweight generally moves in a downward direction.

Abstract:
A drain cleaner assembly including a base unit having a housing, a first portion of a drive arrangement supported by the housing, and a motor coupled to the drive arrangement, where the motor is operable to selectively drive the drive arrangement. A drum unit is removably coupled to the base unit. The drum unit includes a rotatable drum, a cable stored within the drum and selectively extendable out of the drum and into a drain, and a second portion of the drive arrangement, where the second portion of the drive arrangement includes a driven shaft extending along an axis of rotation of the rotatable drum, where the driven shaft is rotatably fixed to the rotatable drum, and wherein the first portion of the drive arrangement is configured to drive the driven shaft and the rotatable drum when the drum unit is coupled to the base unit.

Abstract:
A drain cleaner includes a shroud with a closed end and an open end opposite the closed end and a drum assembly positioned within the shroud. The drum assembly is rotatable relative to the shroud. The drum assembly includes an inner drum and a drum cover extending entirely over an open forward end of the inner drum. The drain cleaner also includes a flexible cable stored within a cavity defined by the inner drum and the drum cover of the drum assembly. The flexible cable is supported by the inner drum. The drain cleaner further includes a handle assembly coupled to and extending rearwardly from the shroud. The handle assembly includes a motor, a grip, and an actuator to selectively energize the motor. The actuator is positioned in an area defined between the grip and the shroud.
