A valve wrench for turning an elliptically shaped valve handle having a top surface and a rim includes a valve cap to be mounted over the valve handle. The valve cap has a top portion including top and bottom surfaces and a skirt depending in a generally perpendicular direction from the bottom surface. The bottom surface and the side of the skirt proximal to the bottom surface define an internal cavity shaped to fit over the top surface and around the rim of the valve handle. A shaft extends from the center of the top surface of the top portion of the valve cap and a torsion bar is coupled to the end of the shaft, distal from the center of the valve cap, for turning the valve cap and any valve handle over which the valve cap is placed
Apparatus For Reducing The Drag Of Vehicles In Motion
Apparatus attached to the rear of a large box like vehicle for reducing rear drag, resulting from the movement of the vehicle includes an aerodynamically shaped structure rotatably mounted along at least one of the rear edges of said vehicle. The structure defines an enclosed space facing the rear of the vehicle which extends beyond the rear edges of the vehicle thereby increasing the length of the body of the vehicle and at the same time increasing the storage capacity of the vehicle. In one embodiment the structure includes two doors rotatably mounted along the vertical edges of the rear of the vehicle. The two doors, when closed, form an aerodynamic drag reducer. When access to the rear cargo doors is required the drag reducing doors are unlocked and/or unlatched and swung open to the sides of the vehicle.
Self adhering type of a bandage having a tab or tabs without adhesive coatings, to facilitate easy removal from a wound. As an alternate for easy removal, self adhering bandage having areas at the inner surface edges without adhesive coatings and distinguishing markings and/or colors on the opposite outer uncoated side to locate the uncoated areas.
A tool for removing undesired growth between adjacent surfaces includes a pair of flanges of generally equal width and length symmetrically located about a central axis and having a front end and a back end. The flanges are shaped to form a generally curved V-shaped opening at their front end whose width decreases gradually in a curved manner to form a narrow region terminating at an end point along the central axis. The flanges Kaye inner facing surfaces which are disposed with respect to each other to define an interior angle which may vary over a wide range. A handle is attached via a bracket to the flanges for enabling the front end of the flanges to be urged under undesirable growth, and wedging the undesirable growth within the narrow region for enabling the removal of the undesirable growth with its roots.
Phillips Screwdriver With Retractable Slotted Screwdriver Blade
A screwdriver for alternative use with Phillip head screws and slotted head screws is disclosed comprising a handle and a shank extending therefrom, the leading end of the shank terminating in a Phillips head screw engaging bit. The leading end portion of the shank is bifurcated by a rearwardly extending slot, and an elongated blade tipped with a slotted head screw bit is slidingly disposed along the slot. The blade is provided with a series of gear teeth along each edge and a nut is mounted around the shank for engagement with the blade teeth. The nut maintains the blade within the slot, and rotation of the nut controls the axial positioning of the blade to positions either forwardly or rearwardly of the Phillips bit.
Adjustable End Wrench Including Movable Jaw Locking Means
A wrench of a conventional worm gear-rack mechanism type includes a fixed jaw and a movable jaw adjustable by means of a worm gear in driving engagement with a rack mechanism of the movable jaw. The rack mechanism is movable within a slot extending through the fixed jaw; the slot being disposed to one side of an object gripping surface of the fixed jaw and along an axis perpendicular to the gripping surface. For locking the movable jaw in position when an object is being gripped between the two jaws, the movable jaw is provided with a threaded stud which extends axially of the slot and outwardly beyond an exterior surface of the fixed jaw. A nut is mounted on the stud portion extending beyond the exterior surface, the nut serving to prevent unclamping movement of the fixed jaw when the nut is screwed along the stud and into contact with the exterior surface.
Ferromagnetic items (e.g., tags, bands, labels containing iron/steel powder) are attached to selected non-ferromagnetic apparatus (e.g., plastic bottles, plastic bags) so that a magnetic device can be used to sort out the non-ferromagnetic apparatus to which the ferromagnetic item is attached.
