Abstract:
A rotor for an electrical motor includes a spindle, a plurality of sintered permanent magnets arranged around the spindle, a compacted powdered soft magnetic material at least partially surrounding the plurality of sintered permanent magnets, and a plurality of discrete regions of compacted powdered non-magnetic material at least partially surrounding the plurality of sintered permanent magnets. The discrete regions of non-magnetic material are at least partially embedded in the soft magnetic material and the soft magnetic material and the non-magnetic material couple the plurality of sintered permanent magnets with the spindle.

A vehicle includes a rear window and a defroster assembly including heating lines extending across the rear window. A protective barrier at least partially covers the heating lines. The protective barrier includes a film that provides a barrier between the heating lines and sulfur gases generated by components of the vehicle.

Abstract:
The present invention discloses a process for determining which material within a vicinity of an electrically conducting material is causing corrosion of the electrically conducting material. The process includes providing a piece of electrically conducting material, a piece of potentially corrosive material that is present in the vicinity of the electrically conducting material, an electrical resistance measuring device and a testing chamber. Thereafter, the piece of electrically conducting material and the piece of potentially corrosive material are placed within the testing chamber and the electrical resisting measuring device monitors the electrical resistance of the piece of electrically conducting material as a function of time.
