Abstract:

A system for controlling a ground speed of an agricultural sprayer includes one or more sensors configured to capture data indicative of first and second application variables and a computing system communicatively coupled to the one or more sensors. In this respect, the computing system configured to determine the first and second application variables based on the data captured by the one or more sensors. Additionally, the computing system is configured to determine a spray quality index associated with the dispensing of an agricultural fluid onto a field by the agricultural sprayer based on the determined first and second application variables. Moreover, the computing system is configured to control the ground speed at which the agricultural sprayer travels across the field based on the determined spray quality index.

Abstract:

A system for an agricultural sprayer is provided herein that includes a tank fluidly coupled with a flow assembly. A nozzle assembly is positioned along a boom assembly and is fluidly coupled with the flow assembly. A purge system is configured to remove agricultural product from the flow assembly. A computing system is communicatively coupled to the purge system. The computing system is configured to receive an input to initiate the boom purge system; activate a valve of the purge system; determine whether one or more predefined conditions are detected; and exhaust the agricultural product from the flow assembly through the purge valve when each of the one or more predefined conditions are detected.

Abstract:

An agricultural sprayer includes a purge tank and first and second nozzles. Furthermore, the system includes a first valve fluidly configured to selectively permit air to flow to the first nozzle and a second valve fluidly configured to selectively permit the air to flow to the second nozzle. A computing system is configured to receive an input indicative of initiation of a purging operation and, upon receipt of the input, control an operation of a main valve to allow the air to flow through a main fluid conduit. Furthermore, the computing system is configured to monitor the air pressure associated with the purge tank and control the operation of the first and second valves during the purging operation based on the monitored air pressure.

An agricultural implement system includes a tow bar assembly configured to couple the agricultural implement system to a tow vehicle. The agricultural implement system also includes a toolbar assembly coupled to the tow bar assembly. The toolbar assembly includes a first wing toolbar configured to support a first row unit, the first wing toolbar is configured to rotate about a first axis relative to the tow bar assembly to enable the toolbar assembly to bend in response to variations in a surface of soil, and no ground engaging wheel is coupled to the first wing toolbar. The agricultural implement system also includes an actuator configured to rotate the first wing toolbar upwardly about the first axis while the toolbar assembly is in a raised position such that the first row unit is disengaged from soil.

Abstract:

A seed planting implement includes a monolithic body defining a seed hopper and an air supply system for a seed meter of the implement. The air supply system includes an air inlet manifold and an air channel from the manifold to the seed meter. A screen on the manifold is easily removed for servicing. A housing of the seed meter partially defines the channel during use.
