Abstract:
A method and apparatus for delivering content wirelessly to a remote wireless device () includes withholding content delivery until a link ready acknowledgment has been received. A communication device (), such as a mobile telephone, includes a client capable of delivering content. For example, an audio client () is configured to deliver audio content, which may include music or voice, to a user. When a wireless communication link () with a remote wireless device (), such as a hand-free speakerphone device, is desired, the client requests the wireless communication link from an audio manager (). The client then withholds content delivery until the audio manager () establishes the wireless communication link () and delivers a link ready acknowledgement. In so doing, the method and apparatus prevent lost audio.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for reorienting displayed data responsive to resizing a window in which the data is displayed is disclosed. Data is displayed in a window in a first orientation. Responsive to receiving an input modifying the size of the window, it is determined whether to reorient the data displayed in the window based on the modified size of the window. For example, if the modified size of the window exceeds a threshold, the data is reoriented. Responsive to determining to reorient the data, the window is resized to the modified size and the data is displayed in a second orientation. In one embodiment the first orientation is orthogonal to the second orientation.
Systems, Devices, And Methods For Automation And Energy Management
A building automation system including a controller, at least one outlet for providing electrical energy to one or more electrical devices, at least one sensor for detecting one or more characteristics of the electrical devices, and a communication link configured to allow communication between the controller and other components of the system, wherein the controller is configured to control (e. g. , interrupt, change, adjust, terminate, increase, and/or meter) the supply of power to the at least one outlet based, in part, on one or more characteristics of the electrical device.

Abstract:
In general, the subject matter described in this disclosure can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for modifying usage of display device pixels. A computing system monitors usage of a plurality of pixels of a display device and determines a target usage level. The computing system identifies that a usage level of a first pixel does not satisfy the target usage level and selects an occasion at which to present the first pixel in a frame to be presented by the display device with an increased intensity with respect to an original intensity that was specified for the first pixel by the frame. The computing system activates the first pixel at the increased intensity during presentation by the display device of the frame.

Devices And Methods For Establishing An Ad Hoc Peer-To-Peer Network
A node is operable to communicate in an ad hoc peer-to-peer network using a predefined communication protocol. The node includes a local area wireless communication circuit and one or more processors. The one or more processors can cause the local area wireless communication circuit to broadcast a local name of an electronic device using a discovery protocol of the predefined communication protocol. Upon receiving one or more responses from one or more remote devices, the one or more processors can change the local name to a new local name including at least one communication protocol parameter, and can cause the local area wireless communication circuit to rebroadcast the new local name using the discovery protocol to communicate the at least one communication protocol parameter to the one or more remote devices. This can continue until an ad hoc peer-to-peer network is established.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus filter light spectrum. Ambient light conditions of light that is ambient to a user device can be sensed. Ambient light color conditions can be determined based on the sensed ambient light conditions. User device charging times when the user device is being charged can be monitored. User device motion including movement of the user device can be monitored. User device activity can be monitored. Color-modified image display times can be ascertained from at least one selected from the user device motion, the user device activity, and the user device charging times. A color-modified image can be generated based on at least the ambient light color conditions and the color-modified image display times. The color-modified image can be displayed.
