Abstract:

A method for automatically verifying provisioning of a telephony database includes receiving from the telephony database a first table structure for a first table within the telephony database and automatically generating, based on the first table structure, a test provisioning message operable to provision a table having the first table structure. The method also includes automatically generating an expected response to the test provisioning message and transmitting the test provisioning message. The method further includes receiving an actual response to the test provisioning message, comparing the actual response to the expected response, and generating a result based on comparing the actual response to the expected response.

Abstract:

A method of communicating telecommunications services provisioning information in a telecommunication system includes establishing a connection between a user and a generic provisioning unit in a telecommunications node of a telecommunication system. The method also includes sending a provisioning message from the user to the generic provisioning unit that specifies a name of a database for provisioning and that also has a standard query language command associated with provisioning the database. The standard query language command specifies a name associated with a table in the database. The method also includes transmitting the information contained in the standard query language command to the database for provisioning of the table. The information is transmitted to the database according to a format understandable by the database.

A method of provisioning telecommunications services includes receiving a first provisioning command comprising a first set of provisioning information. The provisioning command is received according to a generic provisioning protocol. The method also includes transmitting the first set of provisioning information to a telephony database to provision the telephony database. The method also includes modifying the telephony database to produce a modified database and receiving a second provisioning command comprising a second set of provisioning information. The second provisioning command is received according to the generic provisioning protocol. The method further includes transmitting the second set of provisioning information to the telephony database to provision the modified database. Receiving the first provision command and the second provisioning command according to the generic provisioning protocol allows provisioning of the telephony database and the modified database without modifying the generic provisioning protocol.

A call logic program (30) is provided that is composed of individual call independent building blocks (10) and grouped call independent building blocks (20). Call independent building blocks (10) provide base functionality in a program and can be grouped and combine to form call logic program (30). Abstract:

A testing method for allowing confirmation of provisioning of a database in a telecommunication network includes providing a plurality of test messages and associated expected responses and transmitting, according to a generic provisioning protocol, the plurality of test messages to a generic provisioning unit. The generic provisioning unit is operable to receive messages according to a generic provisioning protocol that allows receipt of messages without modification of the generic provisioning protocol whenever the database is modified. The method also includes transmitting the content of the test messages from the generic provisioning unit in the database and receiving actual responses to the test messages. The actual responses are received according to the generic provisioning protocol. The method also includes comparing the actual responses to the expected responses and generating a result based on comparing the actual responses to the expected responses.
