I specialize in people with severe emotional/behavioral/mental health problems.I fairly knowledgeable and experienced at doing trauma therapy. I am also good at working with gifted and talented individuals who are underachieving academically or vocationally due to anxiety or mood disorders. I have experience with chronic pain/ medical problems and understand the medical setting quite well. I also have a good understanding of the Special Education system and several other areas including Juvenile Court and Social Services. I know how to work together across systems to get things done that one individual can't easily do alone. I have some understanding of funding sources and insurance systems as well. I have basic to average computer skills, I believe. I am a strong believer in the value of working on a team as I am convinced we can accomplish a great deal more that way. I was on the Childrens Mental Health Collaboratives in Ramsey and Washington Counties when they started and stayed on them until leaving the Twin Cities in 2002. I was also on the Cultural Competency Sub-Committee for Ramsey County's LCC most of that time. I enjoy sharing my skills with others, but I also know how much I learn from others. I actively seek out new learning situations whenever I can. Program Development and Mentoring are probably my favorite things to do.
