Abstract:
Apparatuses and systems for removing heavy hydrocarbons from a solvent stream are disclosed herein. The apparatuses extract heavy hydrocarbons into light hydrocarbons and provide a solvent stream having the heavy hydrocarbons removed. Two water washing steps are used to remove residual solvent from the heavy hydrocarbon solution in light hydrocarbons. In some embodiments, the second water wash is used for processing subsequent batches of the solvent stream. The heavy hydrocarbons and solvent can be recovered and processed further. Methods for removing heavy hydrocarbons from a solvent stream are also disclosed herein.

A method for sharing window-based joins includes slicing window states of a join operator into smaller window slices, forming a chain of sliced window joins from the smaller window slices, and reducing by pipelining a number of the sliced window joins. The method further includes pushing selections down into chain of sliced window joins for computation sharing among queries with different window sizes. The chain buildup of the sliced window joins includes finding a chain of the sliced window joins with respect to one of memory usage or processing usage.

Abstract:
Apparatuses, methods, systems, and program products are disclosed for adjusting display settings of a head-mounted display. An apparatus includes a processor and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. The code is executable by the processor to receive sensor data from one or more sensors operably connected to a head mounted display (“HMD”) unit while a user wears the HMD unit. The code is executable by the processor to determine a user's cognition level based on the sensor data. The code is executable by the processor to adjust one or more display settings of the HMD unit based on the determined cognition level for the user.
For modifying an image, a processor detects a feature in the image using a convolutional neural network trained on a feature training set. The processor further places the feature within the displayed image. The processor determines an intent for the image. In addition, the processor modifies the image based on the intent.
