My research topics are always in development and currently include the following inqueries: Which facets of Kristin Linklater’s vocal practice and Ashtanga Yoga can be integrated and how can this contribute to an actor’s awareness of impulse? and How can Annie Ruth’s syncretic theatre be applied in post-colonial Togo? I am interested in how the contribution of to an integrated voice and yoga practice with a strong focus on imagery might fit into an actor's training to connect the actor's body and voice. INARTEE, the Intercultural Arts and Education Exchange, of which I am a founding member is currently seeking funding to make our envisioned project a reality by traveling to Togo, West Africa to create a physical and language based theatre piece with Director Annie Ruth and choreographer Sylvestre Akakpo-Adzaku.
