Skills My employment record provides a good indication of the skills and qualifications I have developed through a wide variety of professional and life experiences. My management skills were initially developed as a flight attendant when I managed cabin crew teams consisting of between three and 18 fight attendants, depending on the size of the aircraft and the length of the flight. Those skills were further honed during my position with the IRS where I managed the recruitment, interviewing, hiring and placement of revenue agents throughout the U.S.A. Finally, as a member of the US Consulate General in Sydney, Australia, I managed the visa fraud investigations program to ensure the integrity of the U.S.A.'s immigration program. My customer service skills were also established during my years as a flight attendant where I was required to independently deal with in-flight customer complaints and inquiries without the assistance of higher management. As a SCUBA instructor I was required to tailor course needs to those of my students and customers, often to meet very individualized requirements. As the face of the American Government in Sydney, Australia, my customer service skills were vital to protect the good name and reputation of the country. I consider myself an innovator and my past job performance has demonstrated such. As a member of the US State Department, I recognized a deficiency in the way non-immigrant visa department employees were trained to handle common situations and developed a training manual to correct that deficiency. My manual was adopted by the State Department to be used world-wide. While at the IRS, I saw a need for a standardized process whereby disciplinary actions were applied towards senior-management and executive-level government employees. As a result, I developed a codified disciplinary process to ensure uniform treatment across the board regarding discipline. As a SCUBA instructor, I realized an opportunity to get children involved and excited about SCUBA diving at an early age. I created a summer camp program for children aged 12-17 years during which they were introduced to the underwater world, were certified as Open Water divers, and had the opportunity to experience diving in regional waters. In every position, I brought talent and expertise to my job and organization. I am skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products and can type 50+ wpm.
