The invention disclosed in this application is a floatation device for infants and small children combined with an exercise device for their parent. The device is designed to allow the child to be in the swimming pool with their parent with only a small part or none of the child to actually be in contact with the water. The invention consists of a seat for the child integrated into a floatation device. The child's seat will swivel to allow for the child to be facing in various directions while on the floatation device. Sections of the seat are removable so that the child may dangle their legs into the water while affixed in the seat. The floatation part of the invention is similar in size and shape to an adult swimming kickboard and can be utilized as such with a child either in the seat or not.

Stephanie Sloop was scheduled for a three-day preliminary hearing. She entered the courtroom wearing tan slacks and black sweater. At times when the judge or the attorneys spoke, it appeared as if she was sobbing then she seemed to be under control. She read a prepared statement, which her attorney, Mary Corporon, said Sloop wrote herself. The statement was read after Stephanie Sloop had entered the guilty pleas and before Judge Thomas L. Kay sentenced her to serve 20 years to life for the murder charge and 1 to 15 years for the obstruction of Ethans death under these circumstances is at times too much to bear, irregardless, Im entirely responsible because I was his mommy, Stephanie Sloop said. I failed to take care of him properly because I couldnt even take care of myself. It was Nathan Sloop who said they needed to bury Ethan and report him missing, Corporon said. But it was Stephanie Sloop who bought the materials, including a shovel, to bury the boys body. It was also Stephanie Sloop who bought lighter fluid. When asked about Stephanie Sloops statement, Keefe said,I thought it was self-serving, just like I thought Nathans statement was self-serving. Its always easy to blame drugs and abuse.

'I failed horribly,' says mother of slain Ethan Stacy
The sentence brings to a close the tragic case of Ethan Stacy, who was sent from Virginia to live with his biological mother, Stephanie Sloop and her fiance, in Layton in 2010 because of a court-ordered custody agreement. In just a little over a week, Ethan was severely abused, scalded, beaten, overhild, that lost that 4 -year-old child through no fault of his own in circumstances he had no control over a court order to send his son out here to this situation. He was sending him to his death. In the environment, the toxic environment, the perfect storm of Nathaniel and Stephanie Sloop."

FARMINGTON "I am pleading guilty because I am just that," a sobbing Stephanie Sloop said as entered guilty pleas in 2nd District Court on Monday to one count of aggravated murder and one count of obstruction of justice. Most of the abuse Ethan Stacy suffered was at the hands of Stephanie Sloop's husband Nathanael Warren Sloop, Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings told the court. However, Stephanie did nothing to prevent the abuse, he said.
Prosecutors say the stepfather Nathanael Sloop, 34 and his wife, Stephanie Sloop, malnourished and abused the boy over several weeks until he died in May 2010, and then took a hammer to his face to make him unrecognizable before burying his body in the mountains.
