A communications system includes a base station operable to communicate with a terminal unit over a wireless interface and a packet network coupled to the base station and operable to communicate with the base station. A system for providing management protocol mediation between wireless networks includes a first wireless network () operable to communicate with a mobile station () over a wireless interface (). The OMC () is further operable to manage the second wireless network () using a second management protocol.
