Abstract:

A data receiving and illuminatable marking instrument and spaced emission source is disclosed. The marking instrument may be a full duplex marking apparatus that communicates with spaced emitters transmitting infrared electromagnetic energy encoded with unique data packets. The marking instrument illuminates a portion of the marking implement in response to the data received from the data transmitting device. A method for using the above invention likewise is disclosed.

Abstract:

An interactive projection system, apparatus, and methods for their use are provided. The system includes a projection unit that projects an image of a user interface onto a projection surface. At least one vision sensor is provided that is configured to sense a location of an infrared light source. A computing device that is configured to execute applications to provide the user interface and to determine corresponding outputs based on inputs received by the vision sensor is also provided. An infrared input device, or stylus, is employed by a user to provide infrared light inputs at desired locations with respect to the projected user interface. Additionally, a plurality of styli, each emitting a different respective wavelength of infrared light is also useable to provide multiple simultaneous inputs to the system. An equal plurality of vision sensors may also be employed to separately sense inputs from a respective stylus.

A hybrid sphygmomanometer comprises: (a) an arm cuff with an inflatable air bladder; (b) a pumping device for inflating the air bladder; (c) a manually controlled air outlet valve for deflating the air bladder; (d) an air pressure transducer operative to receive the pressure in the air bladder of the arm cuff and to produce an electrical signal representing this pressure; (e) a manually operated switch for generating systolic and diastolic interrupt signals; (f) a first electronic display for displaying the instantaneous pressure in the air bladder in the form of a bar graph; (g) a second electronic display for displaying systolic and diastolic pressures; and (h) an electrical circuit connected to the pressure transducer and to the button for controlling said first and second display. The first display, for displaying the instantaneous pressure in the air bladder, is a simulated mercury column. The electrical circuit provides an output of digital signals, representing the systolic and diastolic pressures, for use by a programmed digital computer for storage and processing.

Abstract:

A digital template animation kit is provided for generating a three-dimensional animation corresponding to a captured two-dimensional template. In embodiments, a template animation kit includes a template portfolio having template designs for coloring in by a user. A computing device executing a template animation kit application, such as a digital fashion portfolio kit application, may then capture an image of the user-completed drawings on each template design. In some embodiments, capturing an image of a template design includes identifying a coloring figure identifier, an upper page guide identifier, and a lower page guide identifier. In further embodiments, the captured images of two-dimensional template designs are applied to three dimensional digital templates for animation within a digital template animation environment.
