Abstract:

In a system, such as an open-drain bus architecture system, a termination impedance can be dynamically coupled or de-coupled from a bus. The termination impedance is coupled to the bus by a dynamic control circuit if a signal is being received from the bus or if a binary 1 is driven on the bus. The termination impedance is de-coupled from the bus by the dynamic control circuit if a binary 0 is driven on the bus. Coupling the termination impedance to the bus improves signal quality by providing a matching impedance. De-coupling the termination impedance reduces power dissipation and improves receiver noise margin.

Abstract:

The invention features systems and methods of assisting a translation of an original document from an original language into a translation language that provide enhanced opportunities to leverage previously translated documents and that provide linguists with greater context to improve the efficiency and quality of the resulting translations. In addition, the invention features a network-based document management system that provides enhanced document and project management capabilities. In one aspect, a format structure of the original document is extracted as a tree structure of one or more nodes identifying text and formatting codes in the original document. In another aspect, the original document is stored on a server coupled to a network, a remote user may display selected portions of the original document on a remote network terminal, and the remote user may create a translation language document on the server.

Abstract:

Methods and apparatus are provided for bonding a thin lamina to a carrier. In some embodiments, a first side of the lamina is separably contacted to a support plate. A first carrier having a first side with a layer of adhesive material is contacted to the second side of the thin lamina. The lamina is fixed to the first carrier, where the fixing includes a first application of heat and pressure to a portion of the lamina and the first carrier. The support plate is removed, and a second application of heat and pressure are applied to the lamina and the first carrier. The second application of heat and pressure promotes an adhesive bond between the lamina and the first carrier. The second application of pressure comprises moving the lamina, the first carrier and a cover sheet between a pair of rollers.
