A glue board assembly includes a first substrate member which has a first adhesive layer and a release member formed with a release layer overlying the first adhesive layer. A second substrate member has a second adhesive layer. The second substrate member is disposed overlying the release member with the second adhesive layer in contact with the release layer. The release layer enables a user to peel the first and the second substrate members apart thereby exposing the adhesive layers for use in entrapping vermin.
A bait station is formed of a single unitary member which is folded to bring a first portion into contact with a second portion. An intermediate portion connects the first and second portions. The bait station includes a pair of passageways which lead from opposite edges of the bait station to a central recess portion. A block of rodenticide material is located in the recess portion and the passageways are angled to prevent access to the rodenticide material by children.
A rodent trap includes a pivotally mounted jaw which snaps to a closed position to enclose a rodent when activated by a rodent attempting to free itself from an adhesive coated removable trigger member. The trigger member and the rodent can be easily removed from the trap. The trigger member can be replaced with a new trigger member and the trap can be reset and reused.
A portable insect trap includes a base which supports a pair of lamps and a removable double sided glue board which is removably mounted between the lamps. A shield which has apertures in the form of a grill work allows insects which are attracted by the lamps to enter the shield and then become trapped by adhesive layers on the glue board.
A rodent trap is provided as well as a method for more humanely trapping the rodent. The trapping device allows the rodent to enter or step onto a receiving area. A bait held within or on the device includes a natural herbal substance in an effective amount to operate as a calming agent to relax the rodent. Most preferred as a calming agent is Valerian Root.
A glue trap includes a thin flexible layer of non-drying adhesive is deposited on a substantially flat flexible substrate. Both the adhesive layer and the substrate are of extended length and extremely flexible. The glue trap is provided in roll form and may be mounted in a dispenser which facilitates cutting the glue trap to a desired length at the job site.
An animal trap includes a base member, a spring-loaded pivotally mounted striker bail, a striker hold-down member, and a removable trigger member. The removable trigger member is pivotally mounted on the base member and includes a generally flat portion with upwardly directed flanges along defining peripheral edges. The upwardly directed flanges on the trigger member form a trough which may be filled with a non-drying, adhesive thereby forming an adhesive layer. The trigger member includes a catch portion which engages an end of the striker hold-down member. When a rodent touches the trigger member in an attempt to reach the bait, the rodent becomes ensnared by the adhesive layer. The motion of the rodent in an attempt to free itself moves the trigger member and causes the catch member to release the striker hold-down member thereby releasing the spring loaded striker bail which pivots to strike and kill the rodent.
