After completing his undergraduate studies in 1975 at San Diego University, Dr. Gilbertson obtained his dental degree from Northwestern University in 1979, graduating with honors and as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. He received his orthodontic specialty training at UCLA, where he graduated in 1984 with a Certificate in Orthodontics.
