Abstract:

Disclosed is a chassis having opposing major faces and an opening. The chassis is approximately the size of a commercial card, namely, a bankcard such as a credit card or a debit card, which are ubiquitous in modern society. A magnifying lens is disposed at the opening. The chassis carries a switch and a light. The light is capable of being actuated in response to actuation of the switch and is disposed so that it is capable of directing light away from the chassis so that objects can be magnified and illuminated.

Abstract:

A system and method for accessing and utilizing ancillary data with an electronic camera device includes a data source that stores various selectable ancillary data files such as image template files, text overlay files, image background files, and special program instruction files. The data source may be implemented in any effective manner, including as a service on an distributed computer network like the Internet, as a discrete electronic device such as a personal computer, or as a removable, non-volatile memory device such as a flash memory. The electronic camera device may then utilize an ancillary data module to access, select, and download the ancillary data files from the data source for subsequently combining with other captured image data to thereby produce new composite images.

Abstract:

A module computer system includes a self-contained base module and a self-contained host computer module. The base module incorporates a network of operatively coupled interface connectors including peripheral interface connectors and a module interface connector. The self-contained host computer module is for performing computer functions, and includes a computer interface connector operatively connectable directly to the module interface connector formed in the base module in a computer connecting position of the host computer module for operatively coupling the peripheral interface connectors of the base module to the host computer module for, in turn, operatively coupling the host computer module to computer peripherals coupled to the base module through the peripheral interface connectors of the base module.
