Abstract:

A parking space allocation system comprises a special-purpose allocation computer that communicates with at least one electronic sensor to identify a state of a plurality of parking spaces, including a determination whether the parking spaces are occupied or unoccupied and that automatically modifies an unoccupied parking space to be visually identifiable for authorized use by a vehicle or vehicle occupant; and a special-purpose authorization computer that authenticates the vehicle or vehicle occupant for the authorized use of the unoccupied parking space by the vehicle. The special-purpose allocation computer further allocates the unoccupied parking space to the authenticated vehicle or vehicle occupant according to a predetermined criterion that requires the unoccupied parking space to be in proximity to or a predetermined distance from a destination of interest by the vehicle occupant.

Abstract:

Examples provide a system for monitoring cold-chain compliance via temperature-sensitive, cold-chain indicators on perishable item. A cold-chain indicator includes temperature-sensitive ink configured to activate when a temperature outside a per-item threshold temperature range is detected. The color of the ink fades to decrease visibility of a portion of the indicator or the color of the ink darkens to increase visibility of a portion of the indicator. The temperature-sensitive indicator can include a watermark, a barcode, a quick response code, a label, or any other type of indicator. Temperature data is gathered from one or more cold-chain indicators. An analytics component analyzes the temperature data to determine an item's route outside temperature-controlled areas, an amount of time an item has been outside of a temperature-controlled display case, status of a temperature-controlled display case and/or optimal location of temperature-controlled display case storing perishable items.

Abstract:

Examples provide a tag manager component that identifies a plurality of stationary RFID tags located within a three-dimensional space outside an item display area based on an analysis of RFID tag data associated with the plurality of RFID tag readers. A zone detection component analyzes item data associated with a plurality of items corresponding to the plurality of stationary RFID tags and location data associated with the three-dimensional space using a set of per-item criteria. The set of per-item criteria includes a per-item minimum threshold number of items per unit of three-dimensional space and/or a minimum threshold stationary time-period. A verification component analyzes sensor data and/or transaction data to verify whether the three-dimensional space is a termination zone. If the three-dimensional space is a termination zone, an inventory manager component removes the plurality of items from perpetual inventory.

Abstract:

Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for identifying, via a processor, a plurality of causes for a vehicle to record data on a blockchain, wherein one cause in the plurality of causes is a repetition of a previous journey. The system generates route comparison data by comparing, via a processor as the vehicle is moving, current journey data for a current journey to previous journey data of at least one previous journey by: comparing a current journey start time to a previous journey start time; comparing a current journey travel time to a previous journey travel time; and comparing current journey route coordinates to previous journey route coordinates. Then based on the route comparison data, the system generates a side block which references the previous block in the block chain but contains only distinctions from the previous block.
