Abstract:
An electronic thermal printer has a thermal printhead to which is applied a train of pulses which is pulse width modulated. A power switch connects and disconnects the printhead from a DC power source. The pulse train is integrated, scaled and applied as an input to a comparator circuit. The thermal printhead has a temperature sensing diode whose output is applied, as a reference voltage, to the other input of the comparator. During a print cycle, the output of the temperature sensing diode is cut off and the reference voltage is capacitively stored and held as the reference voltage. The output of the comparator circuit clears a latch circuit whose input is provided by a system clock and whose output is connected to control the power switch. The comparator provides an output when the integrated voltage reaches the reference voltage, clearing the latch. Since the latch is supplied with signals from the system clock, a constant frequency is maintained.

Abstract:
A stepper motor for use in peripheral devices such as electronic printing terminals has its coils selected for activation by selection circuitry, with its power provided by a switch mode current regulator. The switch mode regulator utilizes the selected motor winding as the storage element of the regulator and the voltage ramp derived from the current flow through the motor coil itself for comparison with a reference voltage. The output of the comparator circuit controls the state of a latch which has a fixed frequency clock input. The frequency of the latch output is fixed, but the on time and off time of the latch varies in accordance with the output of the comparator. A comparator and latch circuit therefore form a pulse width modulator which then regulates the on and off time of the switching regulator power transistor.

Abstract:
Aircraft fire and overheat detection systems are described. The systems include a support bracket configured to secure the system to a component of an aircraft. A terminal assembly is fixedly connected to the support bracket and includes a connection assembly and a connection cable. A sensing element is electrically connected to the terminal assembly and arranged to detect at least one of fire and heat associated with the component of the aircraft. A protective sleeve is arranged about the connection assembly and connection cable. The sleeve has a lug portion at a first end with a sealing protrusion extending radially inward, a first wire portion, and a second wire portion, with progressively smaller diameters for each portion.

Abstract:
A clamp fixture includes a hub extending between a first end and a second end. A first leg extends in a first direction from the first end of the hub, and a second leg extends in the first direction from the second end of the hub. At least a portion of the first leg curves away from the second leg, and at least a portion of the second leg curves away from the first leg. The clamp fixture also includes a loop with a first half and a second half. The first half includes a first jaw extending from the hub. The second half includes a flange and a second jaw extending from the flange. A fastener connects the flange to the hub such that the first jaw and the second jaw join to close the loop.
Detector Utilizing An Adjustment Screw And A Bellows
A detector that detects an alarm and/or fault condition with respect to a pressure of a medium is provided. The detector comprises a housing comprising an access tube configured to receive a medium and a bellows fixed to the housing comprising a cavity and a first contact surface. The detector also comprises an adjustment screw positioned within the cavity of the bellows, coupled to the housing via an insulation member, and comprising a second contact surface. The detector is further configured to detect a change in pressure of the medium based on whether the first contact surface and the first contact surface are in electrical communication.
