A dual radiator monopole antenna. An elongated low-band ground-coupled arm is disposed on a first surface of a printed circuit board. This arm is electrically connected to and spaced apart from a ground plane. An elongated high-band ground-coupled arm is disposed on a second surface of the printed circuit board, and like the low-band arm is electrically connected to and spaced apart from the ground plane. The high-band arm is oriented parallel to, and laterally displaced from, the low-hand ground-coupled ann. An elongated feed arm is disposed on the first surface of the printed circuit board, oriented parallel the ground-coupled arms and laterally displaced from them. A conductor in electrical feed connection with the feed arm extends from the feed arm across a portion of the ground plane.

Abstract:
The disclosed system may include an enclosure that is configured to house a printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB may have various internal electrical components mounted thereto. The system may also include a radiating component mounted to an opposite side of the PCB. Still further, the system may include a unified grounding structure that couples the PCB to the enclosure in multiple locations. As such, the radiating component may be grounded to the unified grounding structure at the multiple different locations. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed, including methods of manufacturing mobile electronic devices.
An example device includes a substrate and first and second antennas disposed on the substrate. The first antenna includes a first feed arm to connect to a circuit and a pair of extended arms extending in opposite directions from the first feed arm. The first antenna is co-located with a secondary antenna area. The secondary antenna area is bounded by the first feed arm and by a first extended arm of the pair of extended arms. The secondary antenna area is further to be bounded by a display and by an outer edge of the substrate. The second antenna is disposed within the secondary antenna area and includes a second feed arm to connect to the circuit. The second antenna further includes a coupled arm distant from the second feed arm, the coupled arm positioned between the second feed arm and the first feed arm of the first antenna.
