• I thought he knew how to swim, said the boys heartbroken friend, Tanisha Lewis, 19, of Haverhill, who told reporters she watched him go under. He wanted to swim deep with me and I said, OK, lets go. The next thing you know he said he was drowning. I turned around and he was gone.
