Abstract:
A method of sensing a reduction in fuel screen area in a fuel system. The method includes detecting an engine shutdown, initiating an electronic engine control (EEC) built in test, shifting a metering valve from a first position to a second position, determining a travel time of the metering valve, and sensing a reduction in fuel screen area based on the travel time of the metering valve.

Abstract:
A box for storing hanging files, which includes two chipboard sheets which have a plurality of panels that are foldable into a completed double bottom configuration, with vertically extending interlocking corner posts to retain the front, side and rear panels together. The side panels each have a top mounted side rail thereon from which the files are suspended. Each side rail also engages a pair of front and rear corner posts. A top cover panel is hingedly connected to the rear panel of one sheet, with a cover flap hingedly connected to the cover panel. The cover flap is detachably connected to the front panel by loop and pile fastener tabs on the cover flap and the front panel. Handles are provided for lifting and moving the box.

Abstract:
A scissors has first and second arms with each arm having a finger receiving portion at one end. There is a removable metal blade having an outer edge and an inner cutting edge for each arm. A flange on each arm abuts the outer edge of the respective blade. A pair of inward projections on each flange each has a forwardly extending nose portion and a sloping rear portion and is engaged in a complementary opening in the adjacent blade. A finger extending inwardly from the forward end of each flange overlies a portion of the adjacent blade and is adapted to be engaged by the blade of the other arm when the scissors is in the closed position. A pivot structure passes through the arms and blades securing them together.

Abstract:
A fuel actuation system may comprise a servo valve (SV) including a torque motor and at least one screen, a metering valve (MV) fluidly connected to the SV, and an electronic engine control (EEC) operatively connected to the SV. The EEC may be configured and disposed to determine a travel time of the MV, a travel distance of the MV, a pressure of a fuel, and/or a temperature of the fuel, generate at least one of a travel time history, a travel distance history, a fuel temperature history, and a fuel pressure history, and determine a level of degradation of the fuel actuation system based on the at least one of the travel time history, the travel distance history, the fuel temperature history, or the fuel pressure history.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for monitoring fuel actuation system health are described herein. A method for monitoring fuel actuation system health may comprise: moving a metering valve from a first position to a second position; detecting a first travel distance of the metering valve; storing the first travel distance of the metering valve to memory to generate a first travel distance history; and determining a level of degradation of the fuel actuation system based on at least the first travel distance history.

Abstract:
A fuel injection system for a gas turbine engine can be used to ensure successful transition in all conditions, while avoiding the possibility of steady state, or increasing power mode, operations with an insufficiently filled secondary fuel line. This may be accomplished by altering a pressure in a secondary fuel line. The present disclosure allows for the elimination of individual fuel injector valves, which may reduce the total complexity and number of parts of the fuel injection system.

Abstract:
An assembly of fuel tank and bubbler system comprises a fuel tank defining a storage volume adapted to receive fuel therein. The fuel tank comprises at least one fuel inlet, at least one fuel outlet, and at least one gas inlet adapted to be connected to an inert gas source to feed inert gas to fill an ullage in the storage volume. A bubbler system has at least one pipe extending into the fuel tank and adapted to be immersed into the fuel of the fuel tank. The pipe has a porous structure. The pipe is adapted to be connected to an inert gas source to inject inert gas via the porous structure into the fuel of the fuel tank. A method for treating fuel in a fuel tank is also provided.
