Embodiments of the present invention include a coping apparatus and method of operation that automates the process of forming coped butt joints on strips of molding for placement on internal wall angles that alleviates at least some of the problems associated with the use of miter joints or time consuming hand or powered coping using conventional coping saws.

Abstract:

The device of the present invention is a portal or communication interface device that allows for the connection of a wireless device to a HAN or LAN or other suitable network to provide communication services. The device facilitates that use of an end user device (i.e. a mobile phone) as a back end device or portable central office (PCO). Thus, the mobile telephone is portable central office (PCO) that, when connected to the device or portal of the present invention which is acting as a Personal Exchange (PEX), allows for communications services through a network at a premises. The portal also connects to a common electrical outlet (i.e. 110 Vac) so as to supply power for charging the wireless telephone battery and for generating a typical communications voltage. The device could also provide power to various network elements or devices.

Abstract:

An embodiment of the present invention comprises cycling shorts comprising a layered chamois. The bicycle short for a cyclist, can comprise a nylon LYCRA blend short; and a chamois sewn onto the crotch of the bicycle short wherein the chamois comprises: a top layer suitable for accepting graphics and providing breath-ability; a cushion layer for providing comfort for a cyclist; and a bottom layer for providing a mate to the top layer so as to enclose the second layer. The chamois top layer is comprised of a nylon LYCRA blend suitable for accepting ink-sublimated graphics. The bicycle shorts are also configured in separate embodiments to comfort the male or female anatomy.

Abstract:

A body support for placement within cyclists' shorts or trousers includes an elastic top layer having a back portion arranged to extend beneath a cyclist's buttocks, and a front portion arranged to extend in the region of the cyclist's crotch. An elastic bottom layer has a generally inverted Y-shaped configuration, a back portion of the bottom layer has first and second edges joined to corresponding edges on the back portion of the top layer, and a front portion of the bottom layer has one or more edges joined to corresponding edges on the front portion of the top layer. An intermediate cushion layer is joined to the bottom layer so that a top surface of the cushion layer faces toward but is free from attachment to a bottom surface of the top layer.

Abstract:

A bicycle brake assembly includes a bracket member having a pair of elongate legs each arranged to extend on a different side of the rotational plane of a wheel. A pair of brake pad devices are mounted on the legs for pivotable movement and longitudinal movement relative to the associated legs, and the brake pad devices can be fixed at a desired longitudinal position relative to the legs. An actuating mechanism is linked to the brake pad devices for pivoting them together toward the wheel so that brake pads in the devices frictionally contact the wheel. The location at which the brake pads engage the wheel in the radial direction thus is determined according to the positions at which the brake pad devices are fixed on the legs of the bracket member. Optimum braking action therefore can be obtained regardless of the particular position at which the bracket member itself is fixed in the radial direction.
