Abstract:
The present invention is directed to the development of a nanoporous alumina template comprising a multilayer metal film structure that allows for the in situ removal of an electrically insulating barrier layer, thus exposing an electrode at the pore bases. An exemplary multilayer thin film precursor is developed herein which contains an aluminum anodization layer, a diffusion barrier and an electrode. Aluminum anodization in an acidic electrolyte solution with a subsequent voltage pulse sequence produces a nanoporous alumina template with a barrier free conductive electrode surface. The nanoporous template of the present invention provides an efficient means for electrodeposition of nanomaterials.

Abstract:
Systems and methodologies for facilitating the proper case and feeding of children or others by parents or caregivers. Through visual cues on products, juxtaposed with corresponding textual descriptors, and color-coding, the technique of the present invention provides a ready tool to identify appropriate foods. Additionally, a ring protocol establishes a way to assure that not only appropriate foods are consumed but in an appropriate percentage and amount, thereby assuring parents and other caregivers that their charges are properly fed.
Inflated, Stackable, Bag Package For Crushable Round Articles
A package is provided for cushioning a crushable article having a rounded edge. The package includes an outer wrapper structurally supported from the inside by inflated or inflatable cushions and by articles packaged in the package. The package tightly conforms to the shape of the article or stack of articles packaged therein thus minimizing space requirements. The inflated or inflatable cushions may be disposed along the inside of the outer wrap to support at least one face, and side edges of the package. The positioning of the cushions and the outer shape of the package are such that the package can be laid flat on a face thereof, stacked one on top of another, stood up on a side edge thereof, or stood up on an end thereof.

Abstract:
A modular shelf management system comprising a plurality of side panels, a lower panel, and a rail assembly. The lower panel connects the adjacently disposed side panels so that a cell is provided between the panels. The lower panel has a front end and a back end and is sloped in a direction from the back end to the front end. The back end of the lower panel is configured to receive product containers. The rail assembly is disposed in the cell for defining a travel path and includes a first rail and a second rail spatially disposed in a face-to-face relationship to one another. Each rail has a first end and a second end, and is sloped in a direction from the first end to the second end.

Abstract:
A flexible pouch has support strips of material attached to at least a portion of a sidewall thereof; the support strips of material possess memory so as to assist the pouch in substantially retaining an original shape thereof after handling. Flexible pouches having a product disposed therein are also disclosed, along with kits containing same. In addition, methods of producing the flexible pouches and packaged products are also disclosed.
