Abstract:

A wireless communications system suitable for use within an aircraft, such as a part of a wireless emergency lighting system (WELS) is provided. In an aircraft, EXIT signs are located throughout the interior of the aircraft, including the ceiling (general illumination), seats (floor proximity) and EXIT doors (locator/identifier). A wireless communications system uses an integrated lens antenna system that takes advantage of the quantity and location of emergency lights such that any given light will have a direct radio frequency (RF) path to several other lights. A virtual network can be created such that if the path between any two lights becomes disrupted, alternate paths will be constructed under software control.

Abstract:

A connector assembly for an implantable medical device includes a plurality of feedthroughs mounted in a conductive array plate, each feedthrough in the plurality of feedthroughs including a feedthrough pin electrically isolated from the conductive array plate by an insulator and an electronic module assembly including a plurality of conductive strips set in a non-conductive block. The plurality of conductive strips is in physical and electrical contact with the feedthrough pins at an angle of less than 135 degrees. The connector assembly further includes at least one circuit, the circuit including a plurality of conductors corresponding to the plurality of feedthroughs. The plurality of conductors of the circuit is in physical and electrical contact with a corresponding one of the conductive strips of the plurality of conductive strips of the electronic module assembly at an angle of less than 135 degrees.

A connector block providing electrical coupling to electronic componentry of an implantable medical device. The implantable medical device has a case containing the electronic componentry. A preformed electrically conductive “wireform” mounted with respect to a structurally rigid polymer frame forming a plurality of electrical contacts. Abstract:

A non-ferrous current sensor is used to continuously measure the charging current magnitude in step-graded foil and paper insulation systems and capacitive insulation systems used on high voltage measurement and control apparatus such as instrument transformers and on the condenser bushings of power transformers and circuit breakers. The low voltage measured signal is conditioned by an electronic circuit such that it modulates a DC signal in a system current control loop to provide continuous remote monitoring and alarm functions. Remote power is supplied to the sensor and conversion circuits through the current loop. The sensor detects changes in the charging current through the insulation ground conductor, indicating the degradation of the dielectric properties between the foil layers. The sensor and associated electronic circuitry are enclosed in a housing adaptable to be used with a capacitance tap common to high voltage measurement and control apparatus.
