Abstract:

Certain exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a system for substantially containing a flame, comprising an electrical device enclosure comprising at least one heat-generating electrical device; a substantially planar baffle plate suspended in an aperture defined by said electrical device enclosure, said baffle plate oriented substantially perpendicular to an outlet of a heat-exhausting blower mounted in said electrical device enclosure; and wherein said system meets fire resistance requirements R4-21 and R4-22 of Telcordia standard GR-63-CORE. Abstract:

A cable sealing device () includes a member () includes an elastomeric material and adapted to be fitted into a cable receiving aperture. The member includes a first wall () and a second wall () spaced apart from the first wall to partially define a cavity () between the walls. Each wall includes a cable receiving slot (e. g. , ) formed in the wall. Each wall is deformable away from the respective slot to accommodate a respective cable portion (e. g. , ) extended through the slot so that the wall is biased around the cable portion to minimize any opening around the cable portion passing through the slot. The slots in the respective walls cooperate to provide a redundant seal around a cable portion () passing through the member.

Certain exemplary embodiments of the present invention provide a device comprising a hood attachable to a cable connector for a first cable, the cable connector attachable to a substantially planar first circuit card, said hood attachable in a plane of the first circuit card, said hood adapted to constrain a portion of the first cable to within a predetermined volume partially defined by a thickness of the first circuit card, said hood adapted to constrain a portion of a second cable to within the predetermined volume.
