Abstract:

A submission auditing system is described herein that audits to measure participation and to prevent fraud in online crowd-sourced competitions. Auditability increases the acceptance of crowd efforts. Individual contributors and competition organizers also want to have the individual contributors receive credit from the project sponsor(s), their employer, and/or government or other entities for their time investment. An employer may encourage employees to volunteer time with various charitable organizations, and may use the system to monitor participation and award prizes based on participation. The submission auditing system addresses the problem of auditing engagement in crowd-sourced scenarios, by providing a workflow for measuring engagement with a crowdsourcing project, detecting fraud as part of that measurement, and then delivering a receipt for the individual and third parties that provides tracking for participation.

A particular method includes receiving, at a representational state transfer endpoint device, a first user input related to a first speech to text conversion performed by a speech to text transcription service. The method also includes receiving, at the representational state transfer endpoint device, a second user input related to a second speech to text conversion performed by the speech to text transcription service. The method includes processing of the first user input and the second user input at the representational state transfer endpoint device to generate speech to text adjustment information.

Abstract:

Technologies are described herein for providing validated text-to-speech correction hints from aggregated pronunciation corrections received from text-to-speech applications. A number of pronunciation corrections are received by a Web service. The pronunciation corrections may be provided by users of text-to-speech applications executing on a variety of user computer systems. Each of the plurality of pronunciation corrections includes a specification of a word or phrase and a suggested pronunciation provided by the user. The pronunciation corrections are analyzed to generate validated correction hints, and the validated correction hints are provided back to the text-to-speech applications to be used to correct pronunciation of words and phrases in the text-to-speech applications.
