Abstract:

A system and method for providing in real-time an immediately accessible customized transaction account via the internet is disclosed. In particular, the system and method recognizes distinct access codes which are correlated to the credit profile of a person accessing an on-line application system via a computer network. During operation of the invention, a party may be driven to the on-line application system via the internet to conduct a transaction in response to an invitation to enroll in a special program. Upon entering the on-line application system, the accessing party may be unilaterally given the opportunity to apply for a special offer, which has been tailored to the accessing party's credit profile.

Abstract:

A disposable hair removal apparatus for nose, ears, and other small orifices provides a user with the ability to utilizes the depilation method of waxing in the nose, ears, and/or other small orifices currently unsuitable for waxing. The present invention accomplishes this by providing an application method which can contour to the particular shape of a user's body but additionally contains specific curvatures which are able to maximize the contacting surface of the device with the user's unwanted hair follicles. The present invention comprises an ergonomic handle and at least one applicator tip. The applicator tip comprises a first section and a second section, wherein the second section serves as a flexible hinge and or a widened guard. The first section contains the shaped applicator where the wax element is affixed to. After a user removes unwanted hairs from their body the device can be disposed of.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed to a method for treatment of poultry prior to slaughter of the poultry. In the method, poultry are exposed to a first atmosphere having a carbon dioxide concentration sufficient to induce relaxation of the poultry for a period of time sufficient to effect the relaxation. The relaxed poultry are then immediately exposed to a second atmosphere having a carbon dioxide concentration sufficient to render the poultry unconscious. The poultry are subjected to the second atmosphere for a period of time sufficient to effect the unconsciousness, but not sufficient to kill the poultry by being exposed to the second carbon dioxide atmosphere. The poultry are then slaughtered prior to the poultry regaining consciousness.
