Abstract:

A security device is adapted to be locked to a display board, such as a pegboard or a slatboard, while displaying items of merchandise. The device includes a base that may be locked to the display board with a lock. The device further includes a rod adapted to extend from the base to carry items of merchandise. The lock of the device can only be opened with a key to prevent unauthorized removal of the device from the display board.

Abstract:

A security device locks to a display structure such as a pegboard or slatboard to prevent the rapid removal of merchandise from the display structure by preventing the rapid removal of the entire security device. The security device includes a base and a rod with the base having locked and unlocked positions. The unlocked position of the base allows the security device to be removed from the display structure. The locked position of the base prevents the security device from being removed. The security device includes a lock that holds the base in the locked position. A key may be used to unlock the base. Customers may remove items of merchandise from the security device while the lock and base are in their locked positions.

Abstract:

In one embodiment (100), a combination is provided comprising a light shield (6) having a hollow cup-like configuration having an open-end (8) and a closed end (10) having a hollow open-end heat shield (12) nested or positioned therewithin and separated therefrom by an open air gap disposed thereabout such that light rays emitted from a heat and light emitting source (32) are able to pass through heat shield (12) and impact and upon closed end (10) of light shield (6) to reduce glare to a viewer while being cooled by the heat sink provided by heat shield (12). In another embodiment (200), a hollow heat shield (26) having an open-end (28) and a closed end (30) is supported within light shield (6) such that the light rays from the heat and light emitting source (32) impact upon closed end (30) of heat shield (26) rather than closed end (10) of light shield (6).

A prevailing torque clip (100) is provided that has a head portion (4) having a frusto-conical projection (10) having an aperture (6) therethrough that is provided preferably with diametrical opposed helical thread forms (8) and (8') that are operative to threadingly engage threads of a threaded member rotationally advanced therethrough. Abstract:

An automated transaction machine (ATM) can include a housing, a display, a cash recycler, and a check receiver. The display can be mounted to the housing and directed toward an exterior of the housing. The cash recycler can be configured to receive a first note of currency from a first user of the ATM and dispense the first note of currency to a subsequent, second user of the ATM. The check receiver can be positioned in the housing, an intake portion with an inlet communicating with the exterior of the housing, and a check reader portion configured to receive a check from the intake portion, scan data displayed on the check, and store the check. The intake portion can be positioned below the display and the check reader portion is positioned behind the display.
