Abstract:

Providing configuration information to an endpoint includes receiving at a file server a configuration information request from the endpoint. The configuration information request requests configuration information for the endpoint. The file server establishes whether the endpoint is authorized to receive the configuration information. If the endpoint is not authorized to receive the configuration information, the endpoint is instructed to register to receive the configuration information. A notification that the endpoint is authorized to receive the configuration information is received. The configuration information is provided to the endpoint when the endpoint is authorized to receive the configuration information.

Abstract:

A method for determining optimal locations of a plurality of sensors for damage detection in a structural health monitoring system includes providing a one or more signal performance characteristics, spatial parameters describing a layout of a structure, and generating a layout for the plurality of sensors according to the signal performance characteristics and the spatial parameters. An estimated largest critical damage size that may not be detected by sensors arranged according to the first layout is determined. The layout is edited so as to reduce the estimated largest critical damage size to be less than or equal to a selected maximum size requirement.

Abstract:

Surgical devices are provided for aspiration of the subretinal fluid (SRF) of the eye in a retinal detachment that allows re-apposition of the sensory retina to the underlying RPE. The device is connected to a vacuum source, introduced into the posterior chamber through a sclerostomy port and placed against the detached retinal tissue. The device pulls on and captures the surface of the sensory retina, causing a micro needle to pierce through the tissue. As the sensory retina is captured and held in place by the vacuum, a protected pocket is created and the tissue is prevented from folding onto itself and occluding the micro needle tip.

In an embodiment, a mobile device that is configured to receive calls on a first telephone network via a first telephone number is configured to receive calls on a second telephone network via a second telephone number. A subscriber interface module (SIM) is installed into the mobile device enabling the mobile device to communicate with the second telephone network. A username, password, and telephone number for the second network are obtained. The mobile device registers the username, password, telephone number for the first network and telephone number for the second network with the first telephone network. A telephone call is received from the first telephone network and a personal identification code is employed to verify the registration.
