Abstract:

A user agent residing within a remote client and configured to enforce message protocol policy is disclosed. The user agent includes a communications monitoring element that examines a communications connection between the client and an external message server to determine if the message server matches a restricted server attribute. The user agent also includes a communications controller element that works with the communications monitoring element to block communications between the client and the message server when the message server matches a restricted server attribute unless the communications are monitored by a protocol inspection gateway. The gateway intercepts the communications between the client and the message server and inspects a message protocol associated with the intercepted communications to determine if the message protocol matches a protocol definition file, and when a match occurs, apply a policy enforcement rule that overrides aspects of the message protocol associated with the intercepted communications.

A transceiver has a transmitter portion using serially coupled FETs coupled o low level positive and negative bias sources to enable a low power drain conversion of TTL input signals to low level serial data output signals for a coaxial data transmission cable and vice versa The transceiver also provides a constant 50 ohm impedance for the coaxial or triaxial transmission cable during active transmission periods, stand-by periods and power-off periods to provide an inexpensive method to transmit and receive 10 Megabit coded data via a coaxial or triaxial cable.

A transceiver has a transmitter portion using active comparators coupled to single low level positive bias source to enable low powered drain transmit and receive conversion of TTL input signals to LLS (low level serial) data output signals for a coaxial data transmission cable. The transceiver also provides a constant impedance for a coaxial or triaxial transmission cable during active transmission periods, standby periods and power-off periods to provide a cost effective method to transmit and receive data.

Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods of providing real-time scanning of IP addresses. In aspects, input may be received by a real-time IP scanning system. The system may generate one or more work orders based on the input. A scanner associated with the system may access a work order and attempt to communicate with one or more devices identified by the work order. If the attempted communication with a device is successful, a protocol analyzer may be used to provide a predefined payload to the device. If the response from the device matches an expected string, the device may be determined to be a safe and/or legitimate device. If the response from the device does not match an expected string, the device may be determined to be a malicious device.
