Van has been in chronic pain since 2002, yet in spite of all his pain, he still emits high energy, charisma, and is very engaging. He attributes this to the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in him, and in which Van relies on everyday of his life. Van counts none of this as a loss, but rather a gain in insight and blessings from God. His greatest pleasure is helping other people reach an understanding of trust, hope and joy in their lives; just as he has through the promises of God found in His Word.
