Abstract:

A ratcheting anchorage device for use with a lifeline when performing tasks on a surface includes an anchorage member proximate the surface, a support member, a ratcheting device, an elongate member, and a connecting member. The support member is configured and arranged to be supported by the surface proximate the anchorage member. The ratcheting device is operatively connected to the support member. The elongate member has a first end and a second end. The first end is operatively connected to the ratcheting device, and the second end is operatively connected to the connecting member, which is configured and arranged to engage the anchorage member. The ratcheting device is configured and arranged to ratchet the elongate member so that the elongate member becomes taut when the connecting member engages the anchorage member thereby securing the support member to the anchorage member.

Abstract:

The data telemetry system disclosed is a complete data communications systems suitable for use by utilities such as electric companies, gas companies and water companies which can be used for meter reading and load management at individual subscribers premises. Elements of the system can also be used as a power load carrier in a premise specific local area network (LAN). With the system is disclosed, all 10,000 subscribers per exchange can be serviced. It will be understood that data can be multiplexed between a central office location and remote subscribers for any suitable purpose with the data system as disclosed. A packet switching structure is disclosed having eight to thirty-two bytes in the data message. This packet is routed between the utility and remote subscriber with routing headers being added and deleted as required by the network modules. Each successive layer of the multiplexing and switching hierarchy submultiplies the aggregate 10,000 channel capacity into fewer channels.

Abstract:

Configurations of Boolean elements for implementing a sequential GF(2. sup. n) Galois multiplication gate are disclosed. Each configuration includes a single subfield GF(2. sup. m) Galois multiplication gate, where m is a positive integral divisor of n, e. g. , n=8 and m=2, and assorted controls. Also disclosed is a sequential implementation of a GF(2. sup. n) Galois linear module as described in the J. T. Ellison Pat. No. 3,805,037 wherein the controls of the sequential GF(2. sup. n) multiply gate cause the Galois addition (bit-wise Exclusive-OR) of an n-bit binary vector, Z, to the final Galois product.

Abstract:

A direct power output digital to analog conversion of digital audio signals operates to directly convert digital audio signals into an analog power audio output signal capable of driving a speaker, such that there is no need for further amplification or modification of the audio output signal after the direct power output digital to analog conversion of the digital audio signals. The direct power output digital to analog conversion incorporates a digital-to-analog converter within the same feedback circuit as a current-to-voltage power amplifier by using a single resistive feedback network to supply the feedback signal from the output terminal of the current-to-voltage power amplifier to the summing junction of the same current-to-voltage power amplifier.

Abstract:

A composite wafer carrier for holding and restraining circular semiconductor wafer disks during their transport, storage, and processing. The composite wafer carrier generally comprising an open top and bottom for insertion and removal of wafer disk, an upright front end member having an interface portion such as an H-bar, an upright back end member, and a pair of sidewall members with vertical sidewall slots extending rearwardly from the front end member to said back end member. At least one of said members separately molded and joined to the other members of the wafer carrier by cooperating engagement portions without external fasteners. The wafer carrier may be snapped together. A separate second interface at the back end member may be provided to allow the carrier to interface with equipment with the wafer top side up or inverted. The separately formed members permit different materials to be used or the same basic material with different formulations for example, for differing static dissapative characteristics.
