Abstract:
In a disk drive suspension circuit, in order to improve stability of the stable pitch static attitude (PSA) over changes in humidity, the suspended portion of the flexible circuit and/or the gimbal support arm are modified to change their response(s) to humidity. In one embodiment, hygroscopic material such as the material of the insulating layer are added to the stainless steel gimbal support arm, so that in response to humidity it bends in the opposite direction as the suspended portion of the circuit. In another embodiment, additional hygroscopic material is added to the circuit, and/or the polyimide insulating layer or the coverlayer are selectively removed, so that the net bend in the suspended portion of the circuit over humidity is reduced, ideally to a condition of zero or close to zero net bending.

Abstract:
The browsing activity of a first user is motivated by some intent. The first user requests retrieval of a particular document while browsing. A document processing and presentation machine associates the document with a retrieval path taken by the first user. By using the retrieval path data of the document, the document processing and presentation machine infers an intent that likely motivated the first user. When a second user makes a request similar to a request within the retrieval path, the machine presents the second user with the document and some of the retrieval path data, thus providing the second user with a shortcut that leads the second user directly to the document. Thus, the second user may be able to satisfy his intent with significantly less browsing activity compared to the first user.

Abstract:
A system includes one or more computers and one or more storage devices storing instructions that when executed by the one or more computers cause the computers to implement a combined machine learning model for processing an input including multiple features to generate a predicted output for the machine learning input. The combined model includes: a deep machine learning model configured to process the features to generate a deep model output; a wide machine learning model configured to process the features to generate a wide model output; and a combining layer configured to process the deep model output generated by the deep machine learning model and the wide model output generated by the wide machine learning model to generate the predicted output, in which the deep model and the wide model have been trained jointly on training data to generate the deep model output and the wide model output.

Abstract:
A UVC disinfection system is described where incoming fluid, such as water, is directed onto a transparent window in a vertical disinfection chamber. The incoming water is directed downward by a channel at an acute angle (e.g., 10-20 degrees) with respect to a central axis of the disinfection chamber and impinges on the window at an angle almost perpendicular to the window surface. One or more UVC LEDs are optically coupled to the window. The water impinging on the window becomes agitated due to the severe redirection and interaction with water already in the chamber. This randomizes (mixes) the water in the area where there is the highest UVC power. The UVC LEDs direct light along the central axis of the cylindrical chamber for maximum exposure of the water to the UVC light. Disinfection efficiency is therefore increased.

Abstract:
A system and method of recommending a bundle of content items to a user, including storing a plurality of content items in a computer system, determining a respective co-selection score for each pair of content items among the plurality of content items, the co-selection score indicating a probability that a given pair of content items among the plurality of content items will both be downloaded by a user of the computer system, and outputting, to a first user, a plurality of content items comprising a sub-set of the plurality of content items.
