Abstract:

A new personal care product in the form of a free-standing stick comprises an inner core with cosmetic ingredients and an solid outer shell adhering to the inner core, in which the outer shell is wax-free and contains at least solid proteins, liquid polyols or solutions of polyols, solid polyols, emollients and additional cosmetic auxiliary materials and active ingredients. The outer surface does not transfer pigment through brief contact with the skin and is also not sticky.

Abstract:

Shine-enhancing film formers are used to formulate cosmetic compositions in which shine is a desired property. Shine-enhancing film formers may be used alone for a high degree of shine or in combination with other film formers to modify the degree of shine. Using shine-enhancing film formers in cosmetics compositions often accomplishes increased shine properties while retaining other properties favorable to cosmetic compositions such as transfer-resistance.

The invention relates to a physiologically acceptable composition, in particular a cosmetic composition, containing at least one liquid fatty phase structured with at least one structuring polymer of the silicone-polyamide type, the polymer being solid at room temperature and soluble in the liquid fatty phase at a temperature of from 25 to 250 C., and at least one silicone gum, said oil having an affinity with said structuring polymer and/or with said silicone gum, and the liquid fatty phase, the polymer and the silicone gum forming a physiologically acceptable medium. This composition may be in the form of a stick of lipstick which is stable, which does not exude and whose application produces a glossy deposit with good staying power over time.
