Abstract:

A portable beverage dispenser system particularly suited for dispensing semi-frozen slush beverages is housed within a back pack and transported on the back of a vendor. The slush beverage is contained in an insulated vessel having a sealed closure lid, a gas supply valve connected with a pressurized gas tank to maintain pressurization of the beverage, a slush delivery conduit with an insulated dispensing hose releasably connected to the conduit, and an agitator contained within the vessel which is rotated by a motor on the vessel exterior. The motor is selectively operated by a battery pack carried by the back pack to swirl the slush beverage adjacent the lower end of the delivery conduit and to prevent the semi-frozen slush beverage from solidifying as it is being discharged. The vessel is surrounded by a thermally insulating jacket which prevents the formation of a thin layer of ice on its exterior due to the temperature of the semi-frozen slush beverage contained therein. The slush beverage vessel including the motor and the pressurized gas supply tank including a recharging manifold assembly are carried in the back pack.

Abstract:

A backpack carried on the back of a vendor for transporting and dispensing individual cans or bottles of a beverage, has at least one thermally insulated generally rectangular storage compartment configured to hold a plurality of cans or bottles of a beverage in vertical descendable disposition, a closable lid at the top end of the backpack, and at least one access opening disposed at a lower end of the backpack in a position accessible to the hand of the person wearing the backpack. In a preferred embodiment, the backpack has a thermally insulated back wall, front wall, opposed side walls, bottom wall, and hinged top wall, a pair of laterally adjacent storage compartments, and a lower portion which extends laterally outward from the opposed side walls to define laterally opposed side extensions, and the back wall has a pair of laterally opposed access openings one in each side extension accessible to either hand of the person wearing the backpack by reaching rearwardly to manually withdraw a lowermost one of the cans or bottles from either storage compartment. A storage pouch may be releasably attached to the backpack to store empty cans or bottles. One or more panels may be installed on the exterior of the backpack which are imprinted with a picture or other advertising indicia to represent the type of beverage contained within the backpack.

Abstract:

A semi-frozen slush beverage is contained in a thermally insulated vessel which is removably supported on a base unit containing a gas pressurizing mechanism and a motor connected to an electrical source. The gas pressurizing mechanism is controlled by a pressure sensor to maintain pressure on the beverage inside the vessel and an agitator contained within the vessel is releasably connected to the motor shaft when the vessel is supported on the base unit and is operated to swirl the beverage to prevent the semi-frozen slush beverage from separating. A slush delivery valve on the vessel side wall has an outlet end to which a dispensing nozzle or a flexible insulated hose having a dispensing nozzle at its outer end may be releasably connected for dispensing the beverage. The power source may be a battery disposed in the base unit and the base unit may be provided with a battery recharging receptical and associated circuitry. The base unit may also be provided with circuitry and a switch for bypassing the pressurizing mechanism to allow gravity dispensing.

Abstract:

A backpack carried on the back of a vendor for transporting and dispensing packaged goods, such as food products or other merchandise. The backpack has a back wall, front wall, opposed side walls, a top closure, and a bottom wall defining a generally rectangular storage compartment. The backpack has at least one access opening at a lower end which is accessible to the hand of the vendor wearing the backpack. A plurality of packaged goods are supported in a vertically descendable disposition by a support member or receptacle installed in the storage compartment which has a lower portion disposed adjacent to the access opening and is configured to support the lowermost one of the packaged goods adjacent to the access opening such that it can be manually removed by the vendor while the backpack is being worn. In a preferred embodiment, the lower portion of the opposed side walls of the backpack extend laterally outward from the storage compartment to define laterally opposed side extensions, and the back wall has a pair of laterally opposed access openings one in each side extension accessible to either hand of the person wearing the backpack by reaching rearwardly to manually withdraw the lowermost one of the packaged goods with either hand. The walls may be thermally insulated to maintain the temperature of packaged food products.

Abstract:

A portable beverage dispenser system is housed within a rigid back pack transported on the back of a vendor. A beverage dispensing container, dispensing hose, and a pressurized gas container is housed within the back pack. The beverage dispensing container has a rigid wall surrounded by a flexible thermally insulating and cushioning jacket and an access opening at the top end of the dispensing container receives a removable flexible liner. A releasably locked closure lid is removably mounted within the access opening and has a gas fill valve and liquid fill and dispensing valve thereon with passages extending through the closure. The flexible liner is inserted into and withdrawn from the dispensing container in a collapsed condition and substantially conforms to the shape of the interior of the container in an installed liquid filled condition. The liner has an open end releasably engaged on the lid closure and forms a fluid pressure sealed envelope for containing the liquid beverage and the pressurized gas. The pressurized gas container is connected to the gas fill valve to maintain pressurization of the liquid in the dispensing container, and the dispensing hose is connected at one end to the liquid fill and dispensing valve and has a manually operable dispensing valve at the other end for dispensing the pressurized liquid.
