Abstract:

A corner beading cleaner usable to shape hardened joint compound adjacent convex corner beadings including a body which defines a handle area and a lip area extending outwardly from the handle area, the lip having a securement device attached thereto being adapted to detachably secure a tool means with respect to the handle area, the tool means including two blade edges defining a blade cutting surface of less than 90 degrees in order to smooth the joint compound between the bead of the convex beading member and the surrounding joint compound area, the corner beading cleaner securement device including a clamping plate extending laterally across the lip such as to secure the tool between the clamping plate and the lip when the clamping plate is secured with respect to the lip, the clamping plate further possibly including ears extending downwardly from the lateral sides thereof to prevent lateral dislodgement of the tool.

Abstract:

The present invention is a tool for manually altering the angle of a sheetrock corner bead strip from approximately 90. degree. to an angle larger than 90. degree. The tool includes a main frame having a base and opposing side walls. The main frame is adapted to receive and hold axles for at least two spreader wheels and at least two corner holder wheels. The spreader wheels with axles are mounted in series alignment with one another for rotation within the main frame and the corner holder wheels with axles are also mounted in series for rotation within the main frame. The spreader wheels and the corner holder wheels are all located in a single plane. In a preferred embodiment, the spreader wheels have walls which form truncated V-shaped sides for maintaining a predetermined angle. In another preferred embodiment, the predetermined angle is approximately 120. degree. or approximately 135. degree.

Abstract:

The present invention is directed toward flexible embossed supportive backings for coated abrasives, which are used with "sanding" tools. The supportive backing is made from a flexible elastomeric material embossed on one side with a predetermined pattern. The embossment pattern incudes an uninterrupted narrow border along the edges that lay perpendicular to the primary of travel during use, a plurality of narrow grooves within the border which disrupt the surface area of the elastomeric material, and lines of severance that partially separate the edges of the material from its main body. The surface acts as the supportive backing for a coated abrasive as it is worked over a roughened surface. The grooves created by the embossment pattern allow the coated abrasive to deform as it encounters high points on a roughened surface, which allows the abrasive to surround the contours of the roughened surface and greatly increases the efficiency of the coated abrasive. The grooves created by the embossment minimizes the work dust trapped between the coated abrasive and the supportive surface, which minimizes high points and uneven results.

Abstract:

A shoe adapter for use for holding the user's shoe in fixed engagement with the shoe receiving stilt platforms of utility stilts, the shoe adapter including a frontal member fixedly secured to the stilt platform adapted to receive the frontal area of the user's shoe and including a heel member fixedly secured to the stilt platform in spaced relation with respect to the frontal member such that when the heel of the shoe of the user is placed within the heel member, the frontal area of the user's shoe will be locatable within the frontal member, the frontal member including a frontal base directly attached to the platform and a rigid upper member extending from one lateral end of the frontal base to the other lateral end of the frontal base to define a frontal shoe area receiving opening between the rigid upper member and the frontal base, the heel member including a heel base fixedly secured to the stilt platform, and at least two lateral heel plates extending upwardly from the lateral edges of the heel base to define a heel receiving means, the two lateral heel plates being alternatively inclined slightly inwardly to facilitate the retaining of the heel of the user's shoe in the adapter.
